Monday, May 3rd:
*Motions Hearing (@ 10am CT) – IN – Nicole Lynn Bowen (30) (missing March, 29, 2019, Jefferson Township, Newton County, found March 30, 2019) – for *Ashley N. Garth (26/now 27) arrested (4/3/19) & charged (3/29/19) with felony count of assisting a criminal. Plead not guilty. $25K bond. Posted bond (1/30/21) & out.
*Charged (3/29/19) with murder, conspiracy to commit murder conspiracy results in death (Felony 1) & assisting a criminal in committing murder. Held without bond. Judge reduces bond (1/10/20) to $50K.
Trial set to begin on 5/17/21.

*Garrett Kenneth Kirts (21/now 22) – Newton County: Nicole’s Case #56D01-1904-MR-000367- 9/4/20: Plead guilty. Sentenced on 1/11/21 to 55 years in prison.
*Christopher Channing Mathis (27/now 28) – 9/18/20: Plead guilty & sentenced to time served (912 days). Out of jail. Cooperating with White County on Hanish case. Rearrested (9/25/20): Conspiracy dealing drugs charge: Pretrial hearing on 6/18/21.
*Talitha Ann Beckley (36/now 38) – Pretrial hearing on 5/28/21. Trial begins on 7/26/21.
*Nicole Parker (34/now 36) – 10/8/19: Plead guilty. According to the plea agreement, Parker also will serve 4 years in prison for being a habitual offender, based on felony convictions in 2018 for unlawful possession of a syringe in Jasper County & in 2004 for burglary in Tippecanoe County. Earliest release date 1/4/23.

I'm already hating this!

Garth had an incredible opportunity the first time around when she was going to cooperate in the case against Garrett. Nobody needs her now and she's still working on a deal -- all the while free on bond. Who/what does she know?

ETA: I won't be surprised if the expert witness is to excuse her previous failure to follow through with the terms of her prior deal.

Oh, yes, -- I very much agree!
I realized that during one of Garrett's YTube interviews when he was visibly shaken at the idea that Garth would cooperate with the State. I think Garth probably manipulated most of those involved here -- including hold-out Beckley!

I didn't suspect GK of killing Libby and Abby until I heard his interviews. He almost talked me into changing my mind. lol.... I did believe him when he said the whole deal was much bigger than just the 5 of them.

I don't know what to make of B; maybe she's taking time out so when she does go to court, she can show the court how good she's being. She was in Rockville when a FOAF was sentenced to serve there. The FOAF had 8 charges (mostly drugs), from an F2 and down. In a plea deal, they dropped 7, kept the F3 and sentenced her 6 yrs for possession of meth. I bet they had interesting convos.

You lost me -- which Libby and Abby? I thought they arrested a suspect last week?!!
 
There's nothing scheduled at the moment but there should be something soon regarding yesterday's: State's Motion to Amend Charging Info & Change of Plea Hrg

They are working on a plea deal for Garth --that was alluded to by Prosecutor when Garrett sentenced. Don't expect much more here except for an appearance by Garth to change her plea, followed by sentencing perhaps very soon. (JMO-- she's a tricky one).........

Creepers - I knew this one was going to be tricky if she didn't get her way.

Remember when AG was deal went from murder to "assisting a criminal" with 6 yr sentence and only subject to $25k bail bond -- essentially still enjoying freedom after murdering Nicole?

Well, I guess AG remembers it too and after not offered less than Manslaughter, she backed out. What should we expect for her to pull at trial? There's going to be something.

Okay - from my notes Count #4 is assisting a criminal in committing murder. So that one is out. So instead of that the Count #4 is now involuntary manslaughter - ??

Here's from my notes:

arrested (4/3/19) & charged (3/29/19) with felony count of assisting a criminal. Plead not guilty. $25K bond. Posted bond (1/30/21) & out.

I think the after the plea agreement rejected, the amended charging information is now:

1) murder
2) conspiracy to commit murder
3) assisting a criminal
4) involuntary manslaughter **

** 4) involuntary manslaughter severed for purpose of the trial.

IMO, she was offered manslaughter and rejected the plea so now it won't be considered during her trial. I just hate that AG is receiving any attention at all. I want her convicted of murder because that's what she did! MOO
