This is so true.

We are going brought court right now with my husband's ex, a woman who has had a veritable penis parade through her home the past 6 years and blatantly uses the kids to spite their father when he "crosses" her (crossing being, filing for emergency y custody when the school reported her to cps)

The lawyer has done wonders for him, but he told us the parenting standard is VERY low. If your kids are fed, sheltered, and clothed and not being beaten or raped, it's good enough unless you have an unlimited lawyer fund.

Some people who have had children or siblings murdered or lost in car accidents have been posting on dad's FB page (I hope that's within TOS to say?). I think they've got some interesting comments re: how people react in the immediate aftermath of a loss. Suffice it to say: I think the Ammermans have been misjudged by some of us (and by "us," I mean me).

On another note: Millions of kids across the country are living similar lives to Shaylyn, with parents who are, to quote another poster, "half-assing" it. The vast majority will grow up just fine because, to be honest, most kids throughout history most likely grew up with parents who "half-assed" it. Hover-parenting is a relatively new phenomenon. I'm not sure that parenting style necessarily equates with love, and as long as a child is genuinely loved, they'll be okay, imo.

All moo, imo.

I don't know if anyone has gone there, but the the reason the crib bashing is so horrifying to me is because it feels like an act of rage against Shaylyn herself. That's what I am feeling . jmo.

That's exactly how it made me feel. When I was 4 months pregnant with my first, my brother in law and 2 good friends were in a car accident. My brother in law and one friend died in the crash. Wrapped the car around a tree. My husband, in the middle of the night while I was sleeping, took a chainsaw and cut the tree down.

That's what this felt like to me, except the anger was directed at Shaylyn.

I can't even begin to imagine the pain and suffering that Kyles family is going through. They have lost a son, brother etc. I am sure they had no idea he was so sick in the head.

Gosh, and the niece he had soooo many pictures of on his page, lord in heaven please don't let it come out that he did anything to her or anyone else period. Don't get me wrong I hate he did it to Shaylyn, but I just hope there are [no] other victims.

I know. So why would TM think she was found clothed and share that? Doesn't seem like a detail you would soon forget.
Do we know when and how LE informed the family? Perhaps LE didn't inform the family about the state of S body immediately when she was found? If not fully informed, it's possibly that TM believed the little girl was found clothed. An other possibility is that people doesn't always take in "unpleasant" information, to protect themselves psychologically from emotionally disturbing facts they block themselves and create a more pleasant picture of how things were/are.

Perhaps LE was gentle in how they told the family (and of course I hope they were indeed gentle) and grandma misunderstood what they were saying. Perhaps they mentioned that Shaylyn's clothes were also found, and grandma assumed that meant the baby was clothed, not understanding that the clothes were found off the body.

I have no idea, of course, just guessing at how grandma might have misunderstood the information.

The news is so awful that I can totally understand blocking it from sinking in and/or not even being able to listen to the entire story when told by LE.

As much as I don't understand grandma's childcare practices and public demeanor, my heart does go out to her over this loss. I am hoping the family has some support system to help them, truly.

It will be interesting to see the full police report. To see when and what they were told.

They were very trusting and never in a million years could they have foreseen a monster in their midst, IMO.

The family had prior knowledge that KP had IMO sexual deviant issues. The family left Shaylyn in a dangerous/vulnerable position. And the worst, sickest, vile crime happened. They certainly should have never had her in the living room, or him in the house.:moo:

Do they share how they informed the family in a report? Just asking because I don't know.

Well, in MY opinion, I think watching ANY kind of *advertiser censored* shows an interest in deviance, but that's just me. I'm older than Moses and have never in my life watched *advertiser censored*, nor would I ever. But, having read here for quite a while, I have learned that watching *advertiser censored* is much more common than I could have ever imagined. I don't know where the line is drawn (by most) as to what kinds of *advertiser censored* are deviant. IMO

I just realized that I have not seen a photo of Justin & Adam's stepfather.....can anyone point me to a link please?

I think there are photos of him on one of the grandma's FB pages (she has two) but I'm not sure if we are allowed to link.

In Sweden there there is an expression, maskrosbarn (dandelion children), for those kids that grow up with "half-assing" parents or with abuse, parents using drugs and similar experiences. They grow up to become strong adults, the same way a dandelion, although soft and vulnerable, and grow thru the asphalt.

I am sure when this case goes to trial we will find out what was told and who/when it was told. Of course if there are any other arrests there will be police reports etc. so we will hear more about all of it. Just a matter of time.

Plus this family hasn't really shown their ability to stay away from the media, so it may come out sooner rather than later. MOO

The father , Justin, said in an interview that he learned about her body being found, by seeing it on the tv news. I am not sure if I believe him about that though.

Per this link AA told his mother (not specified whether before or after March 23rd) that Parker liked *advertiser censored* with spanking featured and unnamed friends of Parker gave the info about naked drunk and age preference.

When Tammy Morgan asked Adam about Parker’s interests, he said “Kyle preferred to watch pornographic movies which featured people being spanked.”

Friends of Parker said he “drank a lot” and would “often get naked when drunk.” They also said Parker was “attracted to younger girls in the 12- to 14-year-old range.”

I'm not judging watching *advertiser censored*. Many watch *advertiser censored*. It's his choices of *advertiser censored* and other info the family knew of his behavior.:moo:

I thought for sure the initial reports of finding her body said articles at the scene helped to confirm it was her. Maybe there was evidence that wasn't fully burned by Kyle. Perhaps Grandma heard the same thing I thought I did and that's why she thought she was clothed. The more I think about it now, I'm positive I read that somewhere and my immediate thought was that she was clothed too.

The same guy who grandma found holding Shaylyn in his lap when he was drunk, according to Adam.

Sorry to keep repeating that. I only blame the rapist and murderer for the crimes committed....but geez.

JMO.

Well, what could they do with the crib, LE didn't seem to be interested in getting it, and the family didn't need it anymore. Give it away, saying here's a crib, and by the way, the last child sleeping in it had been murdered? Perhaps the best thing to do was to destroy it, I doubt any parent would want their child sleeping in that crib.

To be completely fair, we don't know for sure they were watching *advertiser censored*, right?

But let's assume they were. No matter what any of us think about *advertiser censored*, I think we can all agree that the purpose of *advertiser censored* is to sexually arouse the viewer. Whisky lowers inhibitions. So that was the atmosphere in that house: *advertiser censored*, whisky, sleeping baby with adults either sleeping or with sleepy eyes.
