GARDAÍ ARE SEEKING the public’s help in tracing the whereabouts of 45-year-old Bernadette Connolly, who is missing from the Swords area of Dublin since Friday, 7th January 2022.

Bernadette is described as being 5’ 6” in height, of slim build, with hazel eyes and long black hair. She is thought to be wearing a black woolly hat with black bobble, black handbag, black trainers with white soles, black leggings and a black puffer jacket

She was last seen in the Donabate area.

Gardaí and Bernadette’s family are concerned for her welfare.

Anyone with any information on Bernadette’s whereabouts is asked to contact Swords Garda Station 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

The daughter of missing Dublin woman Bernadette Connolly has made an emotional appeal to the public for answers to her mum's disappearance.

Bernadette, 45, is missing from the Swords area and was last seen in Donabate on Friday, January 7.

Bernadette's daughter Jadericka has thanked the public for all of their support since Friday and gave an update on when she was last seen.

Jadericka said on Instagram: "I just want to come on to thank absolutely everyone who helped look to find my beautiful mam.

"An update for everybody. My mam got Dublin Bus from Swords Manor, Friday 7 January down to Swords Main Street at 11:31am.

"She was picked up on CCTV on the Shoreline Hotel's cameras and was located on Donabate beach at 12:38pm.

"So that is approximately an hour in the difference between Swords Main Street and Donabate location.

"I want to know how she got there. If there is any taxi men that dropped a woman with the matching description down to the Donabate location can you please reach out..."

Jadericka said: "Just to put it out there, my mam is the most amazing mother in the world. I know that's very biased but she's the type of woman that she's there for absolutely everybody and she is my rock..."

We get a picture from her daughter from a beach. This is the last known location of Bernadette. Whilst i know this probably isnt the busiest of beaches, around 1pm, it staggers me no one saw anything.

How Bernadette got to the beach appears not to be determined. Apparently there is no direct bus between the 2 locations, Swords and Donabate beach. Hence appeals for taxi drivers to come forward.
It is possible to get to the beach part way, 33b, but still leaves 36 min walk. Im not sure with what time she was in Swords and waiting for the bus that this would be her mode of transport.

Missing now 6 days and last seen on a beach. Does not bode well.

The parish priest of the town where missing Bernadette Connolly was last seen has said the whole community is “praying that she is found safe and well.”

She was last spotted last Friday on Swords Main Street at 11.36am and once again at the Shoreline Hotel in nearby Donabte at 11.58am.

As there are no buses directly between the two locations, Jade believes a taxi may have driven her mother to her last known location.

After being captured on CCTV at the Hotel in Donabate, Bernadette was spotted at the end of the beach 32 minutes later at 12.30pm.

Fr Pat Reilly, parish priest of Donabate, said “When someone goes missing, it’s not just the community where she lives that is affected. Everybody is affected in some way or another.

“The reality is that it is just so sad. Everyone is rallying around and doing what they can to help find Bernadette,” said Fr Reilly.

“But sometimes the only thing people can do is pray and offer comfort and that’s what we as a parish are doing.

“We are praying that she is found safe and well,” he said.

Taking to Instagram, her heartbroken daughter shared: “Potential sightings in Wicklow/Wexford could be a coincidence but these counties we went to a lot when I was young.

“Please if you see anything, if you think it’s her, report it, call her name, tell her Jade loves her and wants her home.

“For everyone else not from these counties, please do your usual walk, town/beach, and keep my mam in your mind.”

Search & rescue operation, Boats out looking for Bernadette.

Following a request to assist in missing person search we have dispatched 3 search teams to assist with search operations.

Teams dispatched consist of a boat crew , shore search crew ,swift water rescue technicians and our tender rescue unit.

Crews will travel to malahide for first light to assist in the search operations tailoring our services to cover both land and water searches.

Missing person Bernadette Connolly last seen in Swords Manor at 11.30 AM Friday 7th January 2022.

Her last known location was on the beach between Malahide and Donabate at 12:30 PM 7th January 2022.

Bernadette’s phone was found on the beach where we know she took a photo of malahide grand hotel and bay.

This case has really had very little coverage here in Dublin. I only heard about it through a friend who uses Facebook, I dont. But I haven't seen anything on any of the news sites. I know the news has been absolutely saturated with the Ashling Murphy case the last few days but this case pre dates that.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 45 year-old Bernadette Connolly, who is missing from the Swords area of Dublin since Friday, 7th January, 2022.

Bernadette is described as being 5 foot 6 inches in height with a slim build, hazel eyes and long black hair.
Gardaí are now satisfied that, at the time she went missing the clothing Bernadette was wearing are a black Nike training top, black Nike leggings, and black trainers with a white sole (as per attached image) and a black woolly hat with black bobble.
Bernadette was last seen in the Donabate area.

Gardaí are appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the Donabate area on Friday, 7th January, 2022, between 11:30am and 12pm to make this footage available to them.

In particular, Gardaí are appealing to the driver of a taxi that drove Bernadette to the Shoreline Hotel in Donabate on Friday, 7th January, 2022, at approximately 11:55am to come forward. The taxi is described as a blue/green Peugeot Partner (image attached).

Gardaí and Bernadette’s family are concerned for her welfare.

Jade Connolly has further appealed to the public this week, asking residents of the Blackrock area to help her spread awareness about missing mother Bernadette.

The young woman, whose mother was last seen on January 7th, has taken to social media once again pleading for assistance.

In an Instagram post from Monday, Jade wrote ‘would any members of the public be able to meet me at Blackrock today to hang up posters.’

Breaking the news that the taxi man has come forward, Bernadette's daughter Jade has been actively giving updates about her mum who has been missing since January 7th.

Jade confirmed that the taxi driver had dropped her mum off at the Shoreline Hotel as she had previously thought but also revealed that she had plans to meet with "a friend".

Jade wrote on Instagram: "Taxi man came forward - I'm grateful for that she asked him to drop her out there (hotel by the beach) and that she was meeting a friend.

Bernadette Connolly's daughter said she is "praying every day" for someone to come forward with new information about her mother's whereabouts.

Jade Connolly also shared a new pic of her mam, and said she had dental implants on her top jaw which would be recognisable.

Friday will mark three weeks since the 45-year-old disappeared.

She said on Instagram yesterday: "What I’d give to see your face again Mam. I’m praying everyday someone will come forward remembering something."

Gardaí are renewing their appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 45 year old Bernadette Connolly, who is missing from Swords, Co. Dublin since Friday, 7th January, 2022.
Bernadette is described as being 5 foot 6 inches in height with a slim build, hazel eyes and long black hair.
Gardaí are now satisfied that, at the time Bernadette went missing she was wearing a black Nike training top, black Nike leggings, and black trainers with a white sole and a black woolly hat with black bobble. Bernadette was last seen when she was dropped by a Taxi at the carpark of the Shoreline Hotel, Donabate and walking towards the entrance to Donabate Beach.
Today, Friday 28th 3 weeks after Bernadette was last seen, Gardaí will be present at the entrance of Donabate Beach (Shoreline Hotel) and Malahide Beach (Public carpark) between 11:00pm and 4:00p.m.on looking to speak with and identify any persons that may have been on Donabate Beach on Friday 7th January, 2022 when Bernadette Connolly went missing.
A spokesperson on behalf of Bernadette’s family and An Garda Síochána will be available to speak to media at the entrance to Donabate Strand this morning Friday, 27th January, 2022 at 11.30 a.m.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with any information on Bernadette’s whereabouts, to speak in person with Gardaí today or alternatively contact Swords Garda Station 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or you can call the Missing Persons Helpline on 1800442552.
