French President Emmanuel Macron and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte are due to arrive in Israel Monday, the Israeli prime minister’s office said Sunday.

The Israeli prime minister thanked the the Western leaders for their support of Israel's "right to defend itself against Hamas's brutal terrorism," his office said in a statement, adding that "Israel's victory over Hamas would be a victory for the entire world."

IDF publishes aerial images of Hamas rocket launchers near schools, mosques

The Israel Defense Forces publishes a series of aerial images showing Hamas rocket launchers near civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

Israel has long accused Hamas of operating from civilian areas of Gaza.

“Since the beginning of the war, the Hamas terrorist organization has been exploiting civilians and civilian sites such as kindergartens, schools, and mosques for the purpose of firing rockets at Israel. Hamas deliberately fires its rockets at Israeli civilians,” the IDF says.
If Israel has "long-accused Hamas of operating from civilian areas of Gaza" then why on earth didn't Israel take out that rocket launcher a long time ago?

At least 14 humanitarian aid trucks enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing

From CNN's Kareem Khadder and Eyad Kourdi

A CNN journalist observed at least 14 humanitarian relief trucks, sponsored by the Egyptian Red Crescent and the United Nations, entering the Gaza Strip from Egypt through the Rafah crossing on Sunday late evening local time.
An official with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza confirmed to CNN that these trucks have been admitted, and are currently being offloaded to proceed to Gaza storage facilities of the UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees.
Some background: The news comes a day after a convoy of 20 Egyptian trucks unloaded humanitarian aid in Gaza after using the same crossing, which was briefly opened Saturday, according to a CNN stringer on the ground.
The critical Rafah crossing with Egypt in the south has been touted as the last hope for Gazans to escape as Israel’s bombs rain down, and many Palestinians have begun moving in its direction in anticipation.
Aid workers in Gaza, which is under a "complete siege" by Israel and running critically low on basic resources, said Saturday's deliveries were a help, but only barely started to address needs across the densely populated strip.

It is video of a woman being taken.

The tweet says,

"No, no, take her back. This one is not a prisoner. This one is for rape!"

Watch as Hamas terrorists deliberate the capture/rape of a young Israeli woman during their October 7th attack in southern Israel.

The sickest kind of human beings.
Thank you! Wondering what happened to the bloodied (arm, pants) woman shown in an earlier video being forced into a vehicle with H?

There is not just one rocket launcher, they're all over Gaza. Read back a bit - I posted photos of four rocket launch sites next door the UN, a kindergarten, a mosque, and two schools. But to answer your question IMO, because Israel didn't want to start a war. MOO

What does the tweet say? Something about different hostages for different purposes, what are the babies for?

What are the babies, and children, for. I’m hoping strictly collateral for negotiations, and they’re being cared for. But we know children were tied and burned in Be’eri…babies beheaded and burned…

Ok, my mind just went to a really dark place.

—-

You know how the Chinese participate in forced organ harvesting of their prisoners and certain religious affiliations, Uyghurs, Falun Gong…

What if, they have these prisoners that they use for blood and medical stuff when needed. Say one of their own is injured….this reminds me of Nazi stuff, they used the hair of the Holocaust victims to make blankets for their air military, iirc…and also were VERY focused on protecting their injured military and related science stuff, could go into a lot of detail with specific examples of endless atrocities committed for the the advancement of their military but…

My point is, considering the strikes, and the injuries, they might need medical donors, blood, etc.

Sorry, I know this thought is out there.

(Not talking about babies specifically.)

Here’s who I think is getting maybe it the worst, (if there even is such a thing, it’s all beyond horrific), the soldiers, male and female.

These soldiers know and have thought about maaaany times what would happen to them if they were ever captured, I’m sure, imo.

It’s unimaginable to think what the soldiers could be going through.

Health Ministry encourages Israelis to seek mental health support, avoid self-medicating

The Health Ministry encourages Israelis to seek professional help to deal with the loss, emotional pain, and distress they are feeling in response to the unprecedented events that the country has been dealing with since October 7.

While sometimes medications can be beneficial, the ministry warns against using them during the acute post-trauma stage, especially not without consulting with a doctor. People should also avoid dealing with their feelings by using alcohol and cannabis.

“We emphasize that the use of cannabis has not been proven effective during the acute stage after a trauma and can even worsen the situation. Cannabis is only relevant for chronic situations, and only after the partial or full failure of talk therapy or drug treatments based on medical research.

“In the first weeks after a trauma, it is normal to exhibit symptoms relating to the unusual situation, but they generally pass with time. The main thing is to look to one’s inner strength and resilience and family and friends for support. Symptoms should gradually diminish, but if they don’t and they interfere with normal daily function, help from a mental health professional should be sought,” says Dr. Eyal Fruchter, chair of the National Council for Post-Trauma.

Information on where to obtain mental health support can be found on the Health Ministry website.

'Continuous flow' of humanitarian aid expected in Gaza, U.S. envoy says

A "continuous flow" of humanitarian aid is expected to make its way into Gaza from the Rafah border with Egypt, according to U.S. Special Envoy David Satterfield.

[...]

He added that if Hamas diverts or seizes the humanitarian aid, “They will bring on themselves, and sadly, the people of Gaza, the consequences of such actions.”

Aid should continue to reach Gaza even if Israel launches a ground attack, Satterfield said.

‘An atmosphere of fear’: free speech under threat in Israel, activists say

Two activists from a Jewish-Arab peace movement were recently detained in Israel for putting up posters with a message that the police deemed to be offensive. The message was: “Jews and Arabs, we will get through this together.”

The activists, members of Standing Together, had their posters confiscated, as well as T-shirts printed with peace slogans in Hebrew and Arabic.

It was not an isolated incident. Across Israel, people are being detained, fired from their jobs, and even attacked for expressing sentiments interpreted by some as showing sympathy for Hamas after the group’s murderous attack on 7 October. The definition of pro-Hamas is often widened to include expressions of sympathy for the plight of Palestinian children trapped in Gaza, or calls for peace, especially if expressed in both Arabic and Hebrew.

(...)

The crackdown is directed primarily by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. Since the attack, police have been given wide discretion to determine what applies as support for terrorism. They no longer have to refer back to the state prosecutors, which the human rights lawyer Michael Sfard said removes an important level of legal protection for individual free speech.

“We’re seeing a tsunami of police investigations,” Sfard said. “People who are targeted go through a very frightening experience and even if it ends with no indictments, it’s still horrendous.

“There is a wave of silencing of any type of, not only criticism, but also just compassion.”

(...)

“A lot of people are being laid off from work because of different political views or just their identity,” Green said. “Every day we get hundreds of phone calls to our hotline specifically from people who are losing their jobs. A few dozen of them could be said to have expressed support for Hamas, but the overwhelming majority have posted calls to stop the war, or saying things like: there are also children in Gaza."

(...)

BBM. And that is my concern as well. Why is that definition being widened by Israel to include civilians in Gaza? From his remarks to NBC this morning, I think Sec. Blinken is also very concerned.

Scenes of devastation at Kibbutz Be’eri, where 1 in 10 were killed by Hamas

Hamas militants stormed Kibbutz Be’eri on Oct. 7 and massacred more than 100 people, or about 1 in 10 residents of the small community, according to the Israeli government.

Survivors described hiding in bomb shelters as militants wielding machine guns and machetes lit buildings on fire to force people from their homes.

The destruction was evident during an Israeli government-led press tour of the site today. Some buildings were charred or partially collapsed, while the remaining windows were pocked with bullet holes.
