Very true.Israel cannot trust anyone in their neighbourhood obviously. Not when it will still be the same neighbours who swear they won't be satisfied until they are wiped from the face of the earth.
He needs to sit down and stop trying to be relevant. He’s not and has no say. IMOVery true.
But.... I imagine a good number of Palestinians have reasons not to trust Israel. For example:
- Itamar Ben-Gvir is the Israeli Minister of National Security (not just a "guy at a bar"- or even the bar owner)
- Ben Gvir used to display a photo of Baruch Goldstein in his home. Baruch murdered 29 Palestinians in a terror attack. In speeches prior to the attack, Ben Gvir called Goldstein a "martyr" etc.
I wonder what Ben Gvir's feeling are about the right of Palestinians to exist? What does his appointment show about the current Israeli government? No need to worry though, his appointment to National Security Minister is, of course, fully legal.
Ben Gvir responds to Bennett: Fine, I’ll take down Baruch Goldstein’s picture
