What?? I’m not quite that old but damn, I see nothing kind, respectful or humanitarian in taking elderly people hostage.

Are we to now decide Hamas is something other than a terrorist organization because they released people they never should have taken hostage in the first place?

It's hardly 'kind, respectful, or humanitarian' to abduct such elderly people.
They can die from the stress alone.
The release was a stunt for propaganda reasons and tbh, both women looked exhausted and sad.
The 'not knowing' if they were going to die could very well have been a precipitator for their deaths.

Young people would suffer from ongoing terror of a kidnapping; and maybe have nightmares for years even if released after less than a month.
Think about what this did to these two women ?
Heartbreaking.

It might be a Hamas attempt at a "false flag" attack. In this kind of scenario, Hamas would launch a rocket into Egypt with the hope that Israel would be blamed. With the media climate as it is, especially in the Arab world, Israel could be blamed for such an attack. To Hamas, a positive outcome would be hostilities or a break in diplomatic relations between Israel and Egypt.

This has been rather clear for a while now. The "hospital attack" was another one. Israel is NOT targeting innocent civilians just to kill people. They are warning them and doing everything they can to get them out of the way, they have showed GREAT RESTRIANT in not doing more. Then the hospital is attacked and immediately it's Israel doing that? No how about HAMAS with it's weapons caches in heavily civilians locations.. in "Safe" locations for civilians. Their rockets misfiring and killing their own people, but blame Israel for that? Now saying Israel is hitting Egypt? WHY? Who has shown they don't care about innocent civilians? HAMAS sure has. Could Israel be targeting HAMAS in some of these locations? Sure Do I think they are just sending missiles to random places to harm civilians NO.
