I hope so too, not exactly toast, but whatever would assuage his brutalized victim's sense of justice is fine with me, and the same goes for the Grahams and the Harringtons, then all the other missing young women and their families who may finally get answers.

OK maybe not a toaster, but a needle! If he is responsible for these atrocities, and it looks more and more to be the case, I hope he doesn't escape through a loop hole of any kind like 'if it doesn't fit you must acquit'! :tantrum:

Interestingly enough I was snooping his Facebook and noticed that he had a few friends, who's surnames and appearance would indicate perhaps and ethnic similarity to what we know of his Fairfax victim (ie speaking Urdu). And it just so happens that some of these same friends at some point were students at GWU. It just makes me wonder if maybe that Fairfax victim wasn't as random as we first thought...is it possible they could have crossed path within circles of friends? Or it could just be a coincidence.

Also it might indicate...that maybe he could have been familiar with that complex or even been staying with friends there.

Also what makes me think this might be plausible is the fact that in an article I read indicated she thought she was knocking on the door of people she knew...and when they were alerted they started speaking Urdru. Its an indication to me that she might have moved in social groups at least in part within her culture. So if he has friends that do indeed share an ethnicity and could have conceivabley lived in Fairfax after college, its possible they may have ended up at some point at the same social gatherings.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say but just to clarify, northern Virginia has a HUGE Persian/Middle Eastern population (Korean too) so I don't find anything odd about finding those last names in his friends list.

Isn't it strange looking back that one man near the scene had an overwhelming sensation to leave, as described above, and another had what he thought was an overwhelming need or divine intervention as he describes it to go look and find her. The same place, only a different day and the buzzards not being there may have been different. I know there can't reasons that anyone can figure out, but sometimes, things like this make you wonder. I wonder if anyone is focusing on where these same buzzards may roost?

Yes and no, Find HG. I no longer wonder.. In every serial case that I have ever followed, there has always been a spiritual connection. I truly believe in Good and Evil, darkness and light; Divine Intervention.. Due to a very traumatic similar experience almost seven years ago, I am now truly a Believer..
If either of these two tipsters returned to the site today. I am confident that would have a completely different experience; a feeling of peace and tranquility/serenity. The quiet darkness and vultures would be replaced with song birds, butterflies, and many other of mother nature's creatures and sounds.. The animals are aware that the evil that once contaminated their forest will never return..
The innocent victims will guide those who will simply listen.. "Good triumphs Evil"..

I doubt you not, based on my own very limited experience finding people I know, just gut feelings and reasoning right mostly, I think. But all the cases of the missing and never found, there are good people looking or who looked for them as well. Thank you for the book info and all the other good information you provide. This sounds fascinating and a good read for just now, especially.

Ok so I was thinking something today, and do you guys remember how in the Morgan Harrington case they talked about how Morgans parents were pushing for the familial DNA testing...well just suppose JLM's DNA showed a strong familial match to an already known offender, who had operated in Charlottesville...And so was familiar to charlottesville police. Yet they had no way to know for sure, so it wasnt enough for an arrest. One thing we do know from how Cville LE, specifically chief longo, handled a previous serial rapist case is that they had trailed him for a while, and then secretly obtained his DNA from a straw he discarded at a drive thru. I have thought since early on in this case that JLM was on LE radar as a POI in Morgans case for a while before Hannah. If the familial DNA match possibly put JLM on their radar, and THEN one of the people on their radar through familial DNA, was THE last person seen with Hannah....and you search the car and see who knows.....well it could have explained some Longo's emotions, intensity, and urgency as he spoke at press conferences.

What I'm confused that doesn't make sense...Morgans shirt was found in November of 2009....4 months later would be March...

My liscence is a diff state, not VA so I do not know if the rules are vastly different...but do we know JLM's DOB? I am the same age as him, same graduation year from high school...etc...and I know I had to get my liscence renewed by my birthday (32) this year...every five years where I live....so maybe it was because he thought he'd be on the road for a while, and needed to renew it before it expired.

I agree the timing is weird though. I'm not sure i really follow your train of thought from not wanting to look like the sketch ID....unless to your point....and mine....the five year liscence renewal thing....and you only have to get a new pic every 10 years....five years ago or ten years ago...he could have looked more like the sketch...or the pic could be even older then that...maybe he wanted a liscence photo with his long dreads...

I don't know entirely what to make of the hairstyle timing issue thought. In the fall of 2009, I personally remember him having shorter dreads...and there is a pic posted from April 2010 when he has short dreads too.

I see where you're coming from. Chief Longo has been very careful with his words and he very clearly said this perp was not on their radar even when they first saw videos. The Chief doesn't strike me as a liar. They clearly didn't have his DNA until after his arrest which then they gave them the evidence to link him the Fairfax case and then the Harrington case. The Chief has done a stellar job being himself openly and drawing on the commitment of others who responded to that realness and commitment. So as respectfully as possible, though you have every right to question the course of events that are not at all mysterious and right out there in the open, I would like to ask you why you do it so consistently?

I'm a puzzle person I guess...and this is all a bit like putting together a big puzzle without all the pieces...my mind is always trying to reconfigure what is known, with how it would all look in a completed puzzle. No I think challenging theories is great! Its what helps us keep them around or move onto the next, sure sometimes it boils down to diff of opinion even after things have been "hashed out" but often it helps out sort through the weeds!

I don't get it. The attorney for RAT requested the testing. LE acquiesed. AM'scar was tested for DNA and it's all on file, so it's a matter of running JM's DNA profile against those unknown results that were found in it. JM's DNA will be run against any on file I would think.

As for comments about familial connections, it's not unusual for long time residents in an area to be have some relationship to each other. My husband is related to many, many people in his home town, most of whom he doesm't even know, and it would not be a huge shock or surprise if there are criminals among them. That is a danger of familal DNA testing. A whole lot of us might be related in some way to some very bad people. Doesn't have anything to do with JM. That's a reason this forum does not want family, friends, and whoever not specifically named to be involved in a case to be subjects of speculation.
