Maybe, SP raped her and then things went from bad to worse...

When Susan went missing and the police broke into the house with Josh's sister she called Mr. Cox and told him about the wet spot on the carpet.

From what she told him Mr. Cox was hopeful that the family was at some emergency room.

Because of him thinking that I have always thought the spot was blood colored.

Oh wow. It has been a hellacious week here. So we scooted out to a day of shopping and eating. We just got back, I tucked the grandawesomedaughter in and saw the news on FOX. I came here because you people know what is going on. I am sitting here PRAYING that they find something.........anything...Please Lord.......give her parents some closure.

Police can question a minor without a parent being present, especially if they may be a witness. Now, what gets me here and in other cases-why dont they?

Of course, maybe they did in this case already but the child in question is more articulate now.

There's such a thing as "accomplice after the fact", though. As well as evidence tampering.

Yes, I agree. Logic would dictate that. After today's search I assume it's not even a remote possibility. But, the case in Austria where the father kept his daughter locked in an underground basement/bunker and managed to hide it from his own wife and kids- still baffles me that no one asked questions ever.

I suspect that the reason Josh hightailed it out of there while the search was still on is that SP probably told him to take the kids and go, so the kids wouldn't start talking to the cops.

I wonder where he is right now? Will he stay gone until all of the cops leave the house? Are the cops still there?

I don't think he has close friends to stay with. It seems like he and his siblings are all stuck like glue to SP instead of having real lives of their own.

Not many kid-friendly places to hang out late at night with two very young children.

Maybe someone should drive past the local McDonald's and see if he's there!

I am really worried about those kids! Josh's safety net is wearing thin, and he has a lunatic of a father giving him advice!

I went to McD's just before I drove by his house and he wasn't in there. Nor was he at the park outside Country Hollow (Silver Creek Park) at that time ~7pm or so. Our library stays open til 9pm on Thursdays so he may have been there at least until close.

I'd really like to see who Josh says supports him. I'd like to see "the people that know me & support me" and who they are. Not background checks or nothing, no names, but I'm not hearing from these "people that know me & support me" other than family. Where's this mighty fortitude?

It's all in his head. The neighbors obviously view them as the pariahs of the hood and have been laying back patiently waiting and expecting justice.
So...we can take neighbors off the list.

Does anyone remember the cop that killed his pregnant gf and one of the ways they caught him was by talking to the kids and when they asked the child what happened to mommy he told the police that mommy was in the rug. Talk to the children ..

Yes, I remember that case well. Wasn't the guy Bobby? I can't remember his full name. Mommy was rolled in a rug and burned. He asked a female friend to help burn the body. How horrible.

There is a clip from Josh in an interview. I'm horrible at reading body language but I get the suspicion he is remorseful for something. I'm wondering if the kids aren't asking about mommy a lot and he's feeling guilty.

He said his cameraman came up to him afterward, and told him that the whole time the interview was going on, Josh was behind the camera, making gestures for Steven to smile more, to act sad or serious at certain times, and to have better posture.

What a strange, strange relationship that one must be.

I'm sorry I know SP is delusional but "Susan enjoys" is in the present tense. I'm sorry I can't get the idea out of my mind that he might have her imprisioned somewhere. Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but she would do anything to protect her boys and that is exactly what SP would use to threaten her with.

This is not the first time SP has said things about Susan in the present tense. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hmm. Here's the station's link: http://www.fox13now.com/news/local/ It was on the 9PM news. I can't seem to find that specific excerpt. His cameraman is a former reporter, and he said it was the strangest thing he's seen in all of his 29 years of reporting the news.

Sounds like the nut didn't fall far from the tree. Reporters will tell you that the a characteristic that killers seem to have in common is wanting to talk. They can't shut up, won't shut-up. I say, keep them both talking.

I believe Josh has two brothers who live there. There are definitely 5 children--2 girls and 3 boys. And I think all but Jennifer live with daddy. Has he got control issues or what?

I think that once SP stupidly announced that he had 'evidence' that Susan left on her own, and he was going to post that so called 'evidence' publicly, THAT RIGHT THERE gave LE the right to get a warrant and seize any 'evidence' being withheld. imoo

ETA: If I as a citizen, went on national airwaves and announced that I had the private diaries of a missing person, who is presumed dead, and I was going to put them on a public website, BECAUSE THEY PROVED SOMETHING IMPORTANT ABOUT THE CASE, then I better expect that LE is going to comer knocking to retrieve said diaries, AND my computers, as well.

Supposedly LE has been working on the warrant for a week. When did he say that? If the timing's right I think that's spot on and would be funny (ironic) to see him be the reason his son and or himself are convicted.
