Two hunters located skeletal remains in north KCK in the early morning of April 6th. The remains are in a wooded area north of the Lakeside Speedway, along the Missouri River (state line with Missouri).

The river apparently flooded in 2012, so if the remains are that old, it's possible they could have floated from somewhere down the river. They have located the skull, femur, and some other bones, but are continuing to search for more.

This article has much more detail -

KCK police said it's believed that the subject is a white male, 20-30 years old, around 6 feet tall and has probably been missing for about a year. The man was wearing a "puka shell" necklace with a shark tooth.

Can someone please edit the thread title to add some of the above details.

Interesting find. That's a good distance away (SE of Springfield) but who knows. The images on Namus are unfortunately extremely small, even when opened full screen.

What about Branson Perry? I'm not sure what year the John Doe was supposed to have died, Namus didn't have an estimate unless I just skimmed over it and didn't notice. In his description it said he was necklaces and trinkets with arrow heads on them and honestly the necklace seems more early 2000ish than early 2010ish. Skidmore is also an hour and a half away from the Mo river.
