Maybe he just (subconsciously) didn’t want to be a witness to Lucas’ body being found. Or maybe he’s just a man-boy who’s afraid of his own shadow.

Probably that, lol. It just seems like he's in total denial if the entire situation. "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
I know that in hard times, I've just gone about my business like everything was normal, hoping it would make it so. But those were just regular everyday bad times- like getting dumped or family deaths that everyone knew was coming- never anything of this magnitude. And it's not like that actually works, reality hits eventually! I can't even comprehend how hard reality is gonna hit JH if he doesn't start acknowledging it soon.

Are you saying that you think JH has a personality disorder? Or that he was raised by someone who has a personality disorder? Sorry, I'm just trying to understand. I don't see obvious signs of mental illness such as a personality disorder in JH or his statements, but I'm not a shrink.

I think he was either raised by a parent who had a personality disorder or he was regularly exposed to another individual or other individuals with the disorder. The betrayal runs so deep it becomes a defining factor in every aspect of the individual's life and I have experienced it personally. Trust is assessed first and foremost and everything else thereafter, i.e. trust or not trust followed by love, hate, like or dislike etc. Hope that makes sense.

From EG jailhouse interview:

Q. Now, Emily, I hope you understand I do have to ask you because of, you know, the arrest and because a lot of rumors; did you hurt Lucas?

Q. I did not. I would never hurt my son.

Every time I read that I can' help but think that she thinks she was being clever by not "technically" lying... she didn' hurt "her" son. It seems like a weird way to word that answer. Garbage human.

Thank you for explaining.

OT - I missed some wickedly awesome witty humour today.
The part of the recordings I find odd is she says “that’s the god honest truth” right after saying she did him wrong. It’s odd to say together.
Also in Aus we just say lockup (this is at local station and only for say overnight or weekend) prison is the big boys house so to speak. You go to a prison for awaiting trial but it is called a remand centre but it’s still prison and then when sentenced again it’s called prison. We then have different class at or within prisons for seriousness. So like minimum to maximum security.
So I googled after I thought I understood and then got confused again how US names these 2.
Is Jail there like a smaller prison for short term under 1 year stay. Is the set up the same but maybe a smaller facility ?

I go to Vegas for 2 days and come back to find a complete *^%# show! WTH is going on?!

I just finished listening to the NG podcasts and the thing that I can’t stop thinking about is that Lucas’s hair was bleached when he was found. I am hoping someone here has some knowledge that will shed some light on it for me.

I have watched A LOT of crime/autopsy shows and have never heard of this occurring. Certainly not within 3 months.

AlwaysHopeToHelp said - Who is Aliayah? Can you share a link to her first thread?

Here you go:

There are 14 threads - probably with over 600 + a thread....

Posted by ima.grandma from article - "it's unclear where Glass is staying now that she's out of jail".

I'm surprised a reporter with his camera crew didn't follow her after she left the jail.

And the Sheriff saying "Despite the threats, police say they are not providing any kind of added security nor monitoring for Glass."

I bet they are....

Justice is coming Lucas!

I'm wondering the same about the bleached hair from the sunshine. I know hair gets lighter in the summer for people, but this is a new one by me. When I first read that, my mind wandered elsewhere- especially with all of her cleaning duties performed that day.

Totally possible. Sun will bleach any and everything. I used to sun bleach my daughter's cloth diapers.....just a few hours in the sun and they were as white as new without chemicals.

Yes, Jail is different from prison. If you have short sentences, like for 1st time drunk driving, or warrant for unpaid tickets etc, -misdemeanors- you do your time in the local jail house.

Also, upon your arrest, you start out in jail. And even violent criminals are in jail initially, while their cases are going through the court processes. So pre-trial, and during trial, up until final sentencing, one sits in jail.

Once you receive your sentence, you are transferred to a prison. Those are more long term institutions.

We call that 'on remand'

Now that she is 'free' and is not currently charged with any crimes, I hope her ex is able to keep their sons away from her. It might be harder for him to do right now though, because her attorney can say she has not been charged with anything that could prevent her from seeing her children.

The judge said in his earlier decision that doing drugs would mean Emily did not want to be a parent. She has now openly admitted doing drugs. I think the custody judge will sever her parental rights to those boys.

Right, but the judge needs solid proof of those accusations to keep a bio mom away from her children.

Even in the case of alleged domestic violence between her and JH, that is not always enough to keep her from visitation rights.

And the allegations of abuse are just allegations, at this point. I really really hope that the DA is able to share some info with the presiding FamilY Court judge to prevent him from awarding her any kind of contact now.

Sadly, if the baby girl is with her family, she may be able to have a lot of access to her now.

The best thing about family court is that they can use all kinds of different information in determining family reunification. The dad of her son’s was given a temporary suspension of visitation with EG until the investigation is complete about Lucas’s death. The investigation isn’t complete and she hasn’t been cleared as a suspect. The other factors will be any of the information that has since emerged in the past 3 months: drug use, driving under the influence, leaving Lucas alone for an hour or more, admitting she at the least “hid” his body etc. Even if she would have been cleared of Lucas’s murder hypothetically, that has to come first before a reunification plan can be drafted.....especially because she didn’t follow thru with her last orders.

As for the other child, I have yet to hear that someone in EG’s family has been given temporary custody of the little girl. But even if family did have her, there will be a safety plan in place for her to complete before she can petition the court for getting MH back. Part of those requirements is restricted access to her daughter and there would be serious consequences if the family member allowed EG to visit MH. Custody could be immediately be taken from placement with family and back in foster care.

Oh sweetie, you’re in for a treat.
Time stops for no one.
Really. Really like Grams. Passes to fast.
I think a jury will have no problem believing EG led DM to the body.

It's a defense attorney's job to try to instill reasonable doubt, and there are many levels of this case where that might be a problem, but I don't see much room for doubt with this.

Consider the magnitude of some of the searches and who was involved in those and nothing was found. Even dogs could not find a trace.

A PI comes to town and puts the POI in his truck and off they go to the very road where the bridge is. Confusion over which bridge is pretty much a no-brainer, imo. The area in late spring is not going to look anything like it did mid-winter and it is not unreasonable to expect that the POI might have to think twice about the exact location at this point.

I hope, however, that if the PI speaking out so much now after the fact is going to be a potential problem if the case goes to trial the DA would reach out to him and ask him to cool it.

My guess is they already have. DM isn’t an integral part of this. It would have been better had he not spoken. But I’ll bet he had media from all over bugging him in this case.

I think the DA BEING an extremely Enter smart man, can overcome all obstacles.

And it did take heat off JH AND JO.

I really wish none of this had to happen that Lucas was alive and a happy little boy. But this ain’t no fairy tale , we’re here and must push forward.

Severing parental rights is a long process and being convicted of a crime and incarcerated doesn’t always mean its a given a parent’s right are severed. It can take years before rights are taken away.

I disagree about the DA’s ability to overcome all obstacles considering how the endangerment charge.

As for David, I think he’s learned the hard way what repeating unconfirmed rumors from any source other than LE is a bad idea!

I totally agree the PI supposedly told JH she did it - yet JH leaves for work 12 hours a way the day the PI takes this person out looking for my son? No way - well I guess he can say well I was out of town when he was found, just like I was out of town when he went missing, and I was out of town when he got bruises. I am so so angry, I want both of them to be held accountable in some way for what happened to Lucas.
The PI sent JH back to work because he knew EG wouldn’t talk unless he was gone. I truly believe JH had nothing to do with Lucas’s disappearance. That said, he’s paid the ultimate price: burying one child and having the other taken away.
