Looking at Johnson County KS court records NICHOLAS ADAM Ecker has quite the court history. There are a few more related to this case as Niner has stated above.

I guess you have to enter his name to see the results. I didn't realize that until I checked after posting.

In this case, charges may indicate the toddler was in the home, alone.

“We take domestic violence very seriously and we’re going to continue to be very aggressive and work very hard to protect victims of domestic violence,” Howe said.

FOX4 watched Ecker’s court appearance Monday for allegedly violating the protective order. It was upgraded to a felony stalking charge.

The 28-year-old was also on probation for aggravated domestic battery and illegal possession of a firearm as well.

Thanks for the updates @Jewels53 ! :) Can't access the above article - so asking - So the protective order was upgraded to a felony stalking charge? So I need to add that to his charges? TIA!

Also does it mention the infant's name? I like to put the baby's name in my notes also.

His court appearance on Monday was for the Felony Stalking which he was charged with before the fire. That was a charge for 2/4/2022. So I don't think it was added.

His next Court appearance is on Thursday 2/17/2022.

I have seen where they called the baby Junior. Now I don't know if that is his name or not. I believe it is a boy.

Okay - I do have the 2/17 date recorded. And I'll just put infant boy than until we can find his name. I don't think I'll keep track of his stalking charge though - unless you want me to - ??

Thanks! :)

We don't have to keep track of the stalking charge, it is fine with me.

A family members page on the Fund Raising Page That Must Not Be Named appears quite successful.

Prior to KP's charges.

The Catholic and Lutheran churches arrange adoptions with great care and attention to detail. Plenty of private attorneys advertise the service. My tax dollars provide social services. Not ready to become a parent? Ask for help, place your baby with a loving family!

Is this case eventually going to reveal another gaping hole in our mental health 'system?'

Johnson County Courts site lists Karlie Mae Phelps DOB 1/14/1994, she turned 28 a month before this tragedy. Johnson County Kansas District Court Document Search

Seems she has traffic violations and other violations. Seems that the current charge is in Division 18.

IMHO, addiction is a terrible disease & may be part of the story here.

No idea if that link will work, @Jewels53 's link did take me to the JoCo Courts site, but not to the case.

You have to enter her name and it is the one that has the middle name Mae on it. At least that is where I found her criminal charges for the night in question.
