Has anyone tried reverse image searching? It's possible he uploaded it to a social media/dating profile. It may not be his real identity but it may lead to someone who personally knew him.

I’ve never had great success with reverse image searches (probably due to user error :D) so I haven’t done one for this photo. Might generate something if anyone could do one...

I have just had a quick go, using this sort of technology is not my strong point. What I came up with was quite a few news stories (to be expected) and what Google calls visually similar images, there are hundreds of thousands of images that it seems similar. My eyesight is not the greatest and you need to use the desktop version of Google to do a reverse image search but as I only have access to my phone right now all of the images are too small for me to compare. It's quite possible that the reverse image search might match up with other photos this man may have uploaded somewhere on the internet... I hope this all makes sense ‍♀️

I found this missing person on NamUs, and I think there is a mistake on the report of the MP or our UID, or both. I can’t even explain this one to save my life... :confused: Several things caught my eye. This is one of them (from his NamUs photo);

Steven Gabbard, this is the correct photo of Steven.

I don’t know when, or even if, there was ever an incorrect photo of him posted, but Charley Project has two of him, and the additional one of him looks a little different. I don’t think they’re two different people, just the way the photos make them appear... I don’t know... o_O here’s the other photo:

So, I can't find the The First 48 episode for free. Is there any other info about what name he used?

Does anyone have any additional articles regarding this case? I found one and he apparently has ties to West Palm Beach. Kentucky police hoping someone in West Palm Beach can identify murder victim
I haven’t found any other articles than the ones on this thread. This is interesting to read about the Palm Beach tip. Thanks for sharing this!

I forgot to post here that I submitted Steven Gabbard as a potential match back in September. I got the “we’ll look into it” response from Doe Network.

This is so strange to me. The pic was taken from his cell phone and they can't track the cell back to the company? It must have been a throw away, right?
It was a Sprint phone - there are images of it available on a video...can't find it though.

You know - maybe Keith did pull the trigger, if you look up After The First 48 John Doe, you'll see where they say "three scared co-defendants" are asked to testify against the killer.

I tried that - nothing. I think the photo was just for his phone account.

Here's an idea of what he would have been wearing at the time of his death, or at least something similar.

I wish we had more photos of his clothing - not to say it would necessarily help ID him, but someone might remember a person they knew who wore stuff like this.

What leads LE to believe he is “Hispanic/Latino”? Was it due to the names on the fake IDs or just a guess by looking at him or?? I’m just not seeing it to be honest. My initial thought is that he appears to be of middle eastern descent.

I think they were able to speak to some Spanish-speaking people who said he had family in Florida.
