Last surviving 9/11 search and rescue dog laid to rest in Cy-Fair
Monday was a sad day for the men and women with the Cy-Fair Fire Department as they said their final goodbyes to Bretagne (pronounced "Brittany"), the last known surviving search and rescue dog who worked at Ground Zero after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Love, love those dogs and the companion animals who helped the traumatized.

God bless each service animal that searched.
Their contribution to 9/11 was immeasurable.
It will be my pleasure to give them treats and belly rubs when we meet in heaven someday.

:crying:RIP sweet girl. May you have a hero's welcome at the Rainbow Bridge.
