Normally, with a name like "Shannan", it would mean, he heard the name from someone who mumbled, had an unusual pronunciation or was simply drunk or stoned at the time he spoke. The other possibility is, he is no native speaker (which we can dismiss in that case) and just falls back to the more usual spelling on occasion.

Peter

I may have been over analyzing. I tend to do that. What was odd, to me, was the alternating forms of the name within the one letter. I would have imagined that one would stick with the same spelling of a name throughout, right or wrong.

I know the effect myself, I have a hard time with Shannan sometimes and fall also back to the more common Shannon, if I don't concentrate. But my excuse is, I am not a native speaker, so without concentrating on what I do, most typical American names cause some trouble. Is it Darell or Darrel or Darrell for example. However, I don't think CPH can claim not to be a native speaker, so ... at the time, he wrote those letters, he wasn't too sure was it Shannan or Shannon. Means, he hadn't seen the name written beofe but only heard it from

a.) a native speaker who mumbled for unknown reasons (for example someone having participated in a little drug party till dawn)

or

b.) A non-native speaker, who wasn't too sure and so used the old trick, just to put in a sound halfway between both. Some Asian languages provide speakers with a lot of those strange sounds between o and a ...

People may be reading too much into the spelling changes. Here in the New York/Long Island area, that name's pronounced the exact same way no matter what letter the birth certificate uses.

I'm from Wisconsin and it sounds and is pronounced the same (whether Shannan or Shannon) here too.

Which proves once more, CPH has only heard the name, not seen it written before he wrote that letter. Which is exactly the point, I try to make. No difference in speaking, difference in writing.

Peter what is the significance of the fact CPH had not seen the name written? I do do not see its relevance.

I have seen the name written, and still occasionally mis-spell it.

Which lends to support how unlikely it is that CPH wrote a prescription in SG's name that evening to be filled at CVS.

Also supports how unlikely CPH has a chart on SG (which despite what some opinions might be about the DOC, he more than likely is a creature of habit and maintained a chart on EVERY person he ever treated out of his home or at their home). I can explain in more detail about this if needed.

The real significance is, he wasn't still sure about the spelling when he wrote the letter. Which was weeks after the phone calls and quite a matter of importance to him at that time. He never had any scrap of paper with "call Shannan's mother or sister", he still had only heard the name. And the only chance, he had to hear it before he made the calls that led to the letter writing was the night or the short time later, while JB lived still there. Which supports the idea, JB had called him in that night, but CPH hadn't enough time with her to get her name right. Which he would have, if he would have treated her for anything. So, back to the point, that SG showed some symptoms and JB maybe called in the nearest halfway discrete doc, only SG was already gone when the doc arrived. That explains also, why on the tape of the 911 call, SG made are no angry voices yelling to stop or something.

more than likely however even JB didn't know her REAL name because escorts/adult entertainers don't give their real name on a call.

Imagine, you would be a doctor. Maybe a doctor with an ego problem, but a doctor in the first place. You normally wouldn't write any kind of prescription for a prostitute on behalf of her John. You normally wouldn't write a prescription for a prostitute on behalf of what you have to consider her pimp (I doubt, CPH is so deep in the prostitution business, that he would recognize the subtle differences between a guy in a car parked outside a John's house and a guy parked outside of a John's house).
What you would do however, and at any time of the night, is, you would go to look for someone in any kind of serious sounding medical trouble if somebody would alert you. Which consequently brings you in the stupid situation, that you would the next day either to have to hang a guy who was one of your allies in OB politics against someone named JS ... or fake a story that cleans everything up. And since you would have that kind of nature (remember I started with "imagine, you're a doctor"), it would be a story that lets you look good. And honestly? It worked for some time till the GB4 were found.

Which is almost exactly what I have been sayin' about CPH being a show-boater who likes to make up detailed lies to make himself look like a hero.

Point I was making is that CPH is might be many things... 'stupid' not being one of them (he is, of course, a licensed physician). Being not stupid a doctor would still keep patient records (whether containing truths or fabricated info) to cover his own *advertiser censored*. So if someone he treats in the middle of the night ends up in an emergency room (or worse yet, dead) and it is called into question what treatment the good DOC gave to that person, he has this chart with that patient's info (real or fabricated) to support the medical care he provided. Surely opinions will be posted to speculate how the DOC doesn't ever keep records. You will find that when those opinions are posted here that not one of them will be supported by any evidence.

The lack of evidence dictates that we have no reason to believe that this particular physician has not followed the reasonable and customary practices all licensed doctors are bound to adhere by. Speculation is not evidence. Previous legal complaints that never evolved into a conviction are also not evidence of previous guilt. This is still the good ole USA where even an odd-ball, one-legged chronic liar is PRESUMED INNOCENT until proven guilty. Speculate all you want. I choose to adhere to my American roots and give the poor *advertiser censored* the benefit of doubt and the presumption of innocence that all Americans deserve. I know from what I read that many members here choose this open-minded thinking too (even Peter who is not American-blooded). Regardless of what it looks like, I do not defend CPH nor have I concluded that he is innocent. I simply defend his right not to be hung in the eyes of the public.

The first time CPH spelled her name, it was correct, then wrong, the correct, then wrong. The second letter had her name written once and it was spelled wrong.

If I conduct illegal business out of my home (treating a patient), am I going to have said patient's record... to implicate myself? I think not.

I'm also not on any jury nor will I ever be called in this case. I'm entitled to my opinions.

What, if someone calls the doc, but till the doc arrives, the patient has already stormed off? No patient, no chart?

And since when would coming when called to a patient be illegal business for a licensed doctor?

This"call" would have left a record of happening on that night at that time at that place no matter who's or what type of phone was used. This would have created a *advertiser censored* storm during the investigation, and that hasn't happened. It's pretty safe to say no one called CPH for anything that night.

Ah ... those kids ... all about cell phone and still forgetting, *advertiser censored* sapiens owns two legs that can carry someone a few steps over there ... and two arms enabling said *advertiser censored* sapiens to knock on doors ...

There is one little detail, you may want to think about. According to Ray, they heard some transcript of the 911 call SG made. What he describes is, what she yelled (the whole they want to murder me thing), and then how she runs ut and off, including the part, that she can be heart huffing at the end. There is nothing about anyone trying to stop her, nobody yelling in the background, nothing as far as we know. So where was JB, where was the drifter, and, storming out of the house, where was MP whose SUV she had to pass?

Going what's been said already, SG said they're trying to kill me at JB's house, and any huffing would have been from her trip to GC's. At this point, there's no time nor a way to pass unobserved between JB's and CPH's.

Interesting analysis, given, how many people didn't even notice a screaming girl a few minutes later. And no explanation, why nobody tried to stop here running out of the house in the first place.
