Life for the West Memphis Three - Free After the Alford Plea

I thought this was a thread about Free After the Alford Plea? Is there a link that any of the 3 are out there drinking blood (or are vampires)? I'm just curious to see how Lorri and D are going to support themselves, and if they will use the money donated to do so. I wasn't expecting the convo to veer off in such an interesting direction.

I would like to know this myself. I can't find much (and haven't really looked all that hard) about Lorrie except that she is from up north - New York, maybe? - and she was a landscape designer. I would think that would be a good job if she can get back into it. I'm sorta thinking maybe some of Damien's high profile supporters could get him a job as a grip or best boy or something in some of their movies? Regardless of guilt or innocence, they are now out and I, for one, hope they go on to help themselves and become productive members of society.

I'm hoping that some answers will be forthcoming, too. However, I'm sure that Lorri and Damien especially will be hesitant to reveal too much. They don't want "unwanted" company on their doorstep.

I have heard that Damien plans to write and possibly paint, Jason plans to go to college to eventually become a lawyer so he can help others who are wrongfully imprisoned as he was and Jessie is enrolled in GED classes (at the local community college) which begin next month. I hope that Jessie is successful in pursuing a GED as that would greatly improve the amount of money he could earn. That's the only information I know of that has been released publicly to date.

As to Lorri, she was an architectural designer before she moved to Little Rock (or somewhere in Arkansas) to devote herself full time to getting Damien released. The way I understand full time would mean that she was not working at any other job. Maybe she had saved a great deal of money before she left New York and she was living on that. Maybe she has wealthy parents who were supporting her while she worked for her husband's release. However she obtained the money to live I am sure that it was not from defense fund monies.

Lorri has never released an accounting of how the defense fund monies were or are currently spent, so you don't know this. Also, why didn't Lorri tell anyone that Peter Jackson was paying for all of the defense FOR THE LAST SEVEN YEARS? Peter Jackson told everyone this just a few weeks ago. What did Lorri do with the money that was raised and sent to her over the last seven years since Peter Jackson was paying for Damien's defense?

SO commendable for Jason! Perhaps that is what he was put here on this earth to do and this horrible tragedy was the impetus to quick start it...

Pensfan, there were 2 Jason Baldwins. I choose to believe that Damien gave up Baldwin's name, but then like Jessie did, told the police something to get them off track. He gave them the description of Jason Howard Baldwin, not his friend, Charles Jason Baldwin.

If the three were truly innocent, what are the odds in an area that comprised West Memphis and Marion that one defendant, Misskelley would give up the names of two other defendants, and a 2nd. defendant. Echols, would also give up the name Jason Baldwin as a killer?

I'd say the odds were very remote. Judging from teens on the suspect list, the defendants could have named lots of other people, but they chose each other. Quite remarkable!

There is no way to determine what other bizarre things Damien experienced when psychotic because his schizophrenia was not treated. His medical records and Dr. Wood's affidavit describe some of his really wild and disturbing hallucinations and delusions, but not all of them.

Killing snakes in the SW is a normal and important occurance. Many of these small towns even have a rattlesnake roundup every summer. This is not sociopathic behavior like stomping a dog to death (like Damien did in addition to gutting it, wearing its intestines, and keeping its skull in his room.) Large snake dens become very dangerous to humans and livestock. Being bitten by a rattlesnake can be deadly, can cost the patient a limb (amputation), or cost the patient $2000+ in antivenom serum.
