thank you to David Lohr for the unedited interrogation videos! I am in the middle of #12 Det. Flores was questioning her about if she was alone or if someone was with her and suddenly I really do believe she did have an accomplice. I know others have said she would've outed that person if that was the case, but I think she knew if she did, then 2 would get DP and she wouldn't be able to use all her bs DV and PTSD and pedo bs. She pauses for a long time afte rhe asks her this, and he tells her Travis' family wasnt to know too and I think her silence is becasue she knows there's no way out if she says that.

If she did have an accomplice, and if she IS found guilty... do you think she'll implicate her accomplice at that point? Just curious. I've often wondered if she had someone with her as well.

Yes, but we don't know Matt.

JA thought she had to keep this somewhere between The Boxcar Children and Nancy Drew for Matt to have any chance at all to keep up with her 'genius'.

I'm in no position to argue with her, and I enjoyed it as much as anyone when JM dragged her through that testimony.

This is a different Jodi Arias than we've ever seen before or since:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9xLnoNfyRI

If you'll notice, her answers throughout this entire portion of cross-exam are clipped -- staccato, even -- and consist mostly of one word: "Yes."

She wanted to do everything within her power to rush JM through her attempted witness tampering and perjury subornation.

Lol, Boxcar Children and Nancy Drew.
Also, it fits with her whole histrionic personality to fantasize that she is issuing some kind of stealth and sneaky communique.

Of course he did nothing wrong, but the DT's goal is to turn that one juror. All they need is 1 to hang the jury. If just 1 juror thinks JM is up to no good, that helps the DT.

The jury was not present during autograph-gate.

I don't think she had anyone with her on the trip to kill Travis, but I do think that MM knew she was on her way to do what she was going to do.

I also think her 'migraine' this week was due to the fact she learned MM had been added and confirmed as a rebuttal witness.

Matt McCartney?

Jodi's magic decoder ring on the outside?

Is Matt McCartney his real name?

Is he a confirmed rebuttal witness?

Lets hope for a 1st degree guilty verdict, and then we can have every JM impersonator stand on nurmis front lawn and take pictures, and give autographs....

I have seen countless cases for over 20 years that were high profile. I don't understand what you think Mr. Martinez has done wrong or different than others have done. It isn't unseemly. He works for the people.......the taxpayers pay his salary and he isn't to be nice and accommodating? What is wrong with signing a lady's cane if she asked him to?

I have seen both Prosecutors and defense attorneys hold PCs on the courthouse steps. One defense team did it on a daily basis and so did the Prosecutor. I have even seen the defense attorney and his hired experts lined up for a photo op and a PC. Not a word was said because what they do outside of the courthouse has nothing to do with inside the well of the court on duty.

And not once has these things ended with a mistrial nor was a case overturned because of it nor did it distract from the case that was happening inside the courthouse............

I think it is wonderful that Juan is acknowledged for the amazing dedicated Prosecutor he is. He has been bringing justice to victims and their families for over 25 years. Im glad that people are stepping up and telling him how well he is doing. Not once did he mention anything about the case and he never would while outside the well of the courtroom.

All the whining done by Nurmi is much to do about nuttin.:furious: Just soar grapes that no one wants his photograph nor tells him he is doing a fine job. Beth said he makes sure he comes right by their media van everyday so he can be seen. So it seems he and Wilmot go out the front while Juan only did it once.

Juan did nothing wrong. It isn't his fault that he is well liked. He didn't ask them anything and all they did was just normal chit chat with him when he was off duty.

IMO

bbm~

I don't and have no idea why you think I do. My posts on the subject uniformly say that I don't think he did anything wrong and that the unseemliness is on the part of the autograph seekers. I feel like I'm in an alternate reality. I keep agreeing he didn't do anything wrong and multiple posters keep saying I said he did. Weird.

I used to wish for this but after hearing JM say that MM made that "I'll lie for her in court" comment as late as 2 months ago, I no longer want to ever see his face. If he has maintained having Jodi's back for four years solid, I do not trust him on the stand. I would hate for which ever juror it is that has tried to fill in the blanks for Jodi (IMO) to hear anybody corroborate her horrible lies.

He just worries me now.

throughout this trial I've been struck by JA demeanor, her appearance, her holier than thou attitude....it's almost like she's "Jodi of Arc" and sees herself as some sort of martyr.

I've read some opinions elsewhere who state that "they" believe, "Jodie will do quite well in prison, in fact she will shine." I can't see how she would love to remain incarcerated. Does anyone here think she would be just as happy to stay behind bars? Just tryin to understand. TIA.

If the accomplice was MM, or anyone else who ends up betraying her, then yes. But otherwise, I don't think she will.

I wouldn't say, "just as well," but, yeah, she'll be reasonably happy. Same playground, different venue.

Sorry, if this posts more than one time...I hit something and was taken off the site, but.........

I listened to HLN yesterday while making my potato salad for Sunday. I think sometimes when you take one sense away, it really does make other senses more profound. (not seeing, but listening) Juan was showing Jodi a picture, and he said something about Travis being dead at the time the picture was made. Without skipping a beat, she said, "I don't know if he was dead or not" or something to that effect. That really got my attention, so I whirled around and looked at the picture. It was the one of Travis and Jodi's leg and foot. I believe Juan has always said it was Jodi dragging Travis. Because of the blood that is draining back down over his right shoulder, it's pretty obvious his throat has been slashed. So if Jodi is dragging him, she can either have him around the head, or have him around the upper body. If he's dead, he would be limp, and his head would be slumped backwards.....unless she is holding his head up. (she's not) If she's holding his head up, how are his shoulders off the floor? I don't know any way Travis can be dead in this picture. He wouldn't die, and this is the reason she shot him. I think she is in the perfect position to shoot down on him and make the bullet enter where it did. Jodi wasn't in a fog....she knew he wasn't dead...and she told Juan that. She wasn't running for her life....she was making sure Travis didn't live to tell what happened. I do believe this is what happened!

He is not dead in this picture. She shoots him near the shower because that's where the casing lands on top of congealed blood from the stabbings.

I think she dragged him into the bathroom and was taking off her clothes for her shower and got freaked because she saw him looking at her. As she put it, "he was still in there." So she shot him no doubt considering it a mercy shot because she's compassionate and wants to end his suffering....

I believe she used the bath mat to move him because the crime scene examiner said it had blood on both sides. Another clue is that you can see it under his shoulder in the photo after the dragging photo.

Remember the line from Fatal Attraction: I'm not gonna be ignored, Dan!

Travis was supposed to travel to Yreka on two separate occasions after Jodi moved, prior to her showing up at his home on June 4, but he cancelled on her both times.

Then they had that horrible email/text exchange at the end of May, where he pretty much told her to stay out of his life.

Then there's the Cancun trip with Mimi.

If Jodi was hacking in to his Facebook acct, she probably saw the correspondence between Mimi and Travis and figured out that Mimi was going to accompany him.

Travis could be a bit persuasive, Lisa said that on the stand. Even if Jodi found the message from Mimi telling Travis she just wanted to go as his friend, that probably wouldn't have deterred Jodi. I mean, look at all the benefits she got as his "friend."

I think it was a culmination of things that set her off on her killing trip, and losing control of Travis' affections was the motivating factor.

Wow, total blackout Bingo. I think this sounds about right, given what we know. The jury will know all of this, too, by the time this trial goes to them for a verdict. Great post!

Number one she may not have a choice and number two there are so many women in prison today who are just like her. She will be hitting the law books and giving advice to anyone who will listen. Jodi likes to be the center of attention.

I still maintain that part of me wants her to get LWOP just to see her with cornrows in her hair and a "Travis Forever" prison tat.

Well, she already won the Jail Idol, she gets to draw, and she's already been there, what, nearly five years and seems to be doing fine. I'm sure she probably misses her road trips though, and being able to use her camera. Not to mention she's "famous".

Absolutely.. Whether the shot to the head (Jodi) or the stab to the heart (Med Examiner) came first...testimony is each of those were fatal wounds. He had minutes to live either way..yet she continues to brutalize him.

This is why I have been at a loss what difference it makes as to the brutality of the crime. Whether it was the gun shot or the knife that came first, clearly Travis struggled to survive, albeit for less than two minutes, as he was repeatedly stabbed and his throat slit as he reached the bedroom. Therein lies the brutality and heinous nature of this crime.

:(
