Magnotta said he felt his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Yourkin, was the person who actually raised him. She would often dress him in her clothes and slept with him when he was younger, he told the psychiatrist during one of their sessions after his arrest.

In the hours around Lin’s killing, he sent several text messages to his grandmother’s phone, which she shared with his sister, Melissa. At 7:22 a.m. on May 25, after killing Lin, Magnotta made a call that lasted almost four minutes to that number. Neither woman remembers the call.

Magnotta told Watts that Lopez took away his medication, saying it was what was causing his anxiety, and tried to convince him that Scientology was the answer to his psychiatric problems.

One month before he killed and dismembered Lin Jun, Luka Magnotta went to the Jewish General Hospital where he told a psychiatrist he couldn’t sleep, and was feeling impulsive and irritable.

He told the psychiatrist he had a history of paranoid schizophrenia, that he often heard voices, and he feared he was being followed.

Magnotta told Dr. Joel Paris and the resident on duty that day that he had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by a male cousin when he was 14. He had fears of abandonment, being cheated on, and chronic feelings of emptiness.

So he DID tell them he couldn't sleep and that he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia?

Looks like a possible combination of both, going for Temazepam and that paperwork for disability being signed off on by a new psychiatrist in his new province?

I'm sure she's got that wrong. Didn't he say he'd been diagnosed with bipolar in the past, but the psychiatrist wrote that he didn't seem to have it. He said he'd heard voices in the past, but only because he was using illegal drugs at the time. One of the journalists uploaded a photo of part of the report.

I'm sure she's got that wrong. Didn't he say he'd been diagnosed with bipolar in the past, but the psychiatrist wrote that he didn't seem to have it. That's what I thought. Here's the pics. It says right there that he is presenting with BPD. Was there more entered later that we are not seeing?

Is Dr. Destin the one from the clinic who he was trying to get Temazepam from? It says they don't recommend any changes. So is he lying to them and saying he is on some medication? It also says his Paxil can be increased but both doctors are suggesting that he took no drugs between 2010 - 2012. How can you increase something he hasn't taken in two years? Wouldn't he need a complete exam for that? And if he's lying and telling them that he is on medication, then he isn't desperately trying to get help.

I hope the Crown makes note that neither Robert in France or Frank in Germany said that LM was acting strange in any way. These "spontaneous" descriptions of witches, agents, Robyn, Manny etc, to every psych doctor available even after being medicated are pure BS.

No mention by either of them that LM couldn't or didn't sleep either. But then I don't remember anyone asking them about this.

I don't know, but the psychiatrist did say that LM's flattened affect could be partly down to the meds, so it's possible that he looks more animated in that video because he wasn't taking them at the time?
