Great Judge....Baez still has not learned. Guess he thinks this is another class for lawyers.

More than likely he's allowed to represent AH pro hac vice. It is a legal process that allows an attorney to practice for a limited purpose in a state where they are not licensed. Typically, it's limited to the length of whatever case they are involved in. It's usually done with the association of an attorney who is licensed in that state. I have never practiced outside of Georgia. However, I have submitted motions on behalf of a few out of state attorneys requesting they be allowed to participate in cases here. It's usually a formality as long as there is a local attorney willing to assist with local rules and statues. JMO.

Here is the Wiki link, as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_hac_vice

I see, thank you for that info. So February is set for the trial and little Aaron must be hoping that Baez will come to his rescue.
Good Luck with that.

Thank you BUF for the updates!

See you all back here on Feb. 13th!

AARON HERNANDEZ IDENTIFIED AS SHOOTER IN 2012 DRIVE-BY SHOOTING

http://abc7.com/sports/aaron-hernandez-identified-as-shooter-in-2012-drive-by-shooting/1665552/

BOSTON -- A man who survived a deadly 2012 drive-by shooting in Boston identified former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez in court Tuesday as the one who pulled the trigger.

The judge presiding over the upcoming murder trial denied a bid by Hernandez's lawyer to push back the February start.

Prosecutors asked Raychides Sanches during Tuesday's pretrial hearing to describe the chaotic scene the night of July 16, 2012.

Sanches said he had been a passenger in a car stopped at a light in the city's South End when an SUV pulled up. He said someone from the SUV said, "What's up, negroes?" and then gunfire erupted.

Fox 25 has live court for Hernadez Trial going on now. Sorry, on iPad cannot link

No Baez in court. I cannot post as there is something wrong with link...delayed. Typing and getting kicked off. They are talking about AH tatoos. Also saying AH did not kill...defendents filing motions

Are Aaron Hernandez’s tattoos evidence of his guilt?

Speaking at a pretrial hearing in Boston, Suffolk First Assistant District Attorney Patrick M. Haggan said prosecutors want jurors at Hernandez’s upcoming double murder trial to learn about two of the former professional athlete’s numerous tattoos.
.....
Haggan said that after Bradley was shot, Hernandez sought out a tattoo artist in Hermosa Beach, Calif., in late March or early April in 2013. The prosecutor said Hernandez directed the artist to craft two distinctive tattoos.

One image showed a revolver loaded with five bullets, which allegedly represents the five shots fired at the scene where de Abreu and Furtado were shot to death, Haggan said. The phrase, “god forgives,” was tattooed nearby but written backward so it could be read in a mirror.
......
Suffolk Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke, who is scheduled to preside at Hernandez’s trial starting Feb. 13, did not issue a ruling on the tattoo evidence.

AH just might be one of the most vile, despicable idiots we have seen here.

IANAL, so I don't know the law on this -- although we all should find out soon enuff -- but re the tattoos, I say let the jury see them and let them draw their own conclusions. If it is allowed, then "Do you have any tattoos?" might be a question from the defense counsel during jury selection.

I would think Hernandez is right at home in prison -- that seems to be the path he chose vs. being a probably great tight end on one of the best football teams we have ever seen. JMO.

I know, right? He had the American Dream, big time. He was a star on the most famous Football team. A beautiful wife, new baby, in a mansion and millions of dollars in the bank. A family that loved and supported him. Lots of friends and many adoring fans. And he threw it all away, for NOTHING. Some random stranger accidentally bumps into him, and he feels the need to throw his entire life into the garbage can over it? It makes no sense. He must be the biggest sociopathic narcissist ever.

The tattoos of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez can be admitted as evidence in his upcoming double murder trial, a judge ruled.
.....
Hernandez had tattoos done soon after the victims were killed that link him to the slayings, prosecutor Patrick Haggan told the judge.

Aaron Hernandez Associate Gets 5 Years For Hartford Bar Shooting

Bradley is also scheduled to be a witness in Hernandez's current trial on charges he shot and killed two men in Boston in 2012.

In a victory for Hernandez’s team, Locke also ordered that Raychides Sanches and Aquilino Freire - two eyewitnesses in the 2012 double murder - can’t identify the former tight end as the shooter in front of a jury. Locke found that they were unable to give a description of Hernandez until after they saw extensive media coverage linking him to the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

“As noted by the Supreme Judicial Court, numerous studies have demonstrated that exposure to outside information may contaminate the witness’s memory,” Locke wrote.

Sanches and Freire can, however, testify about the general descriptions they made to authorities after the shooting.

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/lo...dezs_phone_can_be_used_in_double_murder_trial

"A Blackberry belonging to former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez will not be tossed from his upcoming double murder trial because investigators “acted reasonably and in good faith” when they applied for a search warrant for the phone, a judge has ruled."

“Here, there was no misconduct by police or prosecutors such that suppression would serve a deterrent purpose or vindicate a constitutional right,” Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke wrote in a decision issued yesterday.

(modsnip)

Thank goodness that phone saga is finally over!

Hearing going on. Typical Baez...

#AaronHernandez's attorneys argue that the video of someone spilling his drink at the club - *motive* - has "mysteriously disappeared."

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
The argument from #AaronHernandez's attorneys is that the video would exonerate their client.

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
They also argue that police and employees at the Cure club are telling different stories. #AaronHernandez

Baez says investigators should have asked for video from within the night club: "You don't have to be the Keystone cops." #AaronHernandez

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
Baez just renewed a motion to continue the case. "I can't keep up. I just can't keep up."

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
Baez just accused prosecutors of keeping the defense team "behind the 8-ball" with a trial looming. He called it "fair gamesmanship."

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
Baez: "It is by far the most unprepared I have ever been in a courtroom." #AaronHernandez

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
Baez indicates that there could be at least four appeals in the next two weeks. #AaronHernandez

Bob McGovern ‏@BobMcGovernJr
Locke is not budging on a trial date. "We ought to shoot for Feb. 13." #AaronHernandez

Agree. AH is a idiot for sure.

Because most people would have loved his lifestyle for only playing in 20 games per year. Via pre season and regular season.

But he killed and left his brother in law body in a park only 1 mile away from the nice mansion.

So AH is definitely deserving of a life sentence.
