We only had one missing person case, and (the skeletal remains) did not match, Sheriff Douglas Mullendore said Friday. There is not much to update. The autopsy has been performed, and we are waiting for the final results .... It could take months and even longer.
The sheriffs office said mushroom hunters found a human skeleton lying in the water at Marsh Run on Sunday. The discovery was made in the area of Loose Lane off Old Forge Road.
Mullendore said human tissue and pieces of clothing were found on parts of the skeleton. He said authorities were able to determine the remains were those of a male.
