Detroit Police along with Michigan State Police are investigating the case. They have executed a search warrant at the home of the friend where Moody was staying but have not uncovered any evidence. My Fox in Detroit also reported that the friend Moody was staying with has been hospitalized with anxiety and other issues after the incident.

Does this mean they are suspects and we can now talk about them?

I predict that someday mother and daughter will both be arrested. Just a hunch. Although, they have lived there forever and know everyone, including some pretty low and shady characters that know all the good hiding places, so if they had help it will be a lot harder to find Jasmine.

No, issuing a search warrant does not automatically mean they are suspects. LE could be looking for J's personal belongings, any electronic trail or clues, etc. However, the fact that LE had to issue a warrant could imply that a consent search and/or seizure of the property was denied. Everyone has the right to deny a consent search, but if your girlfriend went missing, or if your daughter's girlfriend went missing, why would you deny LE's entrance?

No kidding SB. Not to mention the fact that they didn't say anything until December 4, a whole week past Thanksgiving. I wonder if LE will be back to search with black lights and cadaver dogs. They need to!

B took over Jasmine's twitter account, and certainly was angry at her in early November. And pics of B's lifestyle depicts a casual, comfortable acquaintance with handguns, life, and drug use and sale. The mother had to know all this was going on. Alarming. I don't want to break TOS so I won't say more than that.

BBM. Good gravy. I wasn't born yesterday (been online for 20 years, in fact) but it still blows me away people are so OPEN and in-your-face with their personal info, preferences, etc.

I'm not so sure "lovely college student" portrays this girl accurately, after having read mere snippets of her Twitter ...wow!!

She does have a potty mouth, but some of that is show. I wonder where they (mom and B) put her. Shady girlfriend Jasmine was hooked up with, and she had to know what B was in to. Even we can see it.

If it was for show, then for whom? The Twitter friends? Who are these people that they were so important to JM?

It seems so incongruent to see a young woman with a career ahead of her as a nurse, displaying such a (I'm trying not to be judgemental here) publicly visible "fixation" with sexual activity. I don't know if B. had career aspirations, but I doubt it. It reinforces my belief that a strong moral code plays a big part in protecting a young person from all kinds of dire circumstances. J.M.'s Twitter life seems completely off the rails.

Knowing wild women her age, this behavior is not completely unusual, albeit magnified. I don't know if J just wanted to appear badass, or was just extreme because others around her were and she wanted to fit in. I can't tell if she was a leader or follower with so little information. What I also don't know is why she would be attracted to such a type person. Perhaps J the honor roll student was the typical girl attracted to a 'bad boy'.
