I am posting the following for anyone else who is interested. It is a timeline I have been working on prior to the public cases in court, in order to make sense of the details. Good sources relating to this case are local: woodtv, mlive and wzzm

Presumed Victims: Jessica Heeringa, Rebekah Bletsch, 16 y/o Attempted Kidnap Victim
http://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/...f_willis_probe.html#incart_river_index_topics

February 2013 – Purchases 2006 Dodge Caravan
February 2013 – Steals gun belonging to co-worker.
2012 – Begins making semi regular purchases at Heeringa’s gas station.
2012 – Fined for letting his dog run loose, presumably the same time as a court case with a neighbor who accused him of smearing dog feces on their house over it.
June 20, 2011 – Willis’s grandfather, resident of the Bailey St house, passes away.
2008 – Willis’s daughter, now 26, presumably moves out as an adult.
(somewhere between 1992 and 2008 Willis installs bathroom camera)
2006 – Cops called for incident where Willis was filming without consent in another vehicle.
2003 – Works at Hermann Miller
(work gap, spent either as machinist or butcher?)
2002 – Begins stalking Wendy Silvey and others, keeping highly detailed information on them. This pre-dates many quality online utilities and would have required legwork.
2000 – Willis marries current wife.
1995-1998 – Fired from school janitor job for viewing *advertiser censored* at the school.
1996: Cold Case – Angela Thornberg
1992 – 2000 (?) – First wife dies in a car accident.
1992 – Paternity suit with first wife.
1988-1992 (?) – Attends Muskegon Community College as History major.
Cold Case: Pere Marquette

Thanks for posting/sharing this, nice work.

I'm a bit new here and not clear on which threat you're referring to - would you please post a link to it?

Judge OK'd to hear start of Jessica Heeringa case against Jeffrey Willis
By Stephen Kloosterman | sklooste@mlive.com updated November 03, 2016 at 3:40 PM

MUSKEGON, MI – A Muskegon County District Court judge who was once a prosecutor may oversee a high-profile kidnapping and murder case, a judge appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court ruled Thursday.

On Thursday, Nov. 3, Judge Knoll ruled against the defense's motion.

"There was no case when Judge Kostrzewa was a prosecutor," Knoll said. "The charges were not filed until almost two years after he left."

Motion to replace judge denied

"MUSKEGON, MICH. - A judge denied a motion to remove a Muskegon County judge from the murder trial of Jeffery Willis.
Lawyers for Willis want Muskegon County District Court Chief Judge Raymond Kostrzewa to recuse himself from the high-profile kidnapping and murder case.
Willis is accused of kidnapping and killing Jessica Heeringa, who disappeared in April of 2013. Her body has never been found."

I don't know what to think I don't want him being able to appeal anything. I know he isn't going anywhere with his other charges but he needs to be held fully accountable for what he has done to Jessica.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. He's got a public defense team, same as any other criminal under due course of the law. The judge is officially okayed to oversee the trial, and there won't be any nonsense later about how it was unfair. Dot those eyes and cross the tees.

Also, he's got way more to be held accountable for than Jessica, and it looks like he's already getting life anyway. Bear in mind that the homemade child *advertiser censored* is probably his daughter, that he's got a probable other victim named Rebekah Bletsch that he's being tried for as well, and the kidnapping attempt on the 16 year old. That's assuming he's not full-on serial with a missed case in 2015, or stuff dating back to college.

Other notes:

Weapons, as relates to all three cases.

Walther P22: This was discovered in a compartment with his kidnapping kit when the police searched his vehicle after the failed kidnapping victim was able to id him from camera footage. This was the weapon used when he attempted to coerce her into staying in his vehicle. This was tied to Rebekah Bletsch by way of ballistics on the weapon used to shoot her in the back of the head. Presumably, they traced the weapon to its owner, a woman named Schnotola, who worked with Jeffrey Willis at Hermann Miller and indicated the weapon had been presumed lost at home.. There's subtext to that, but nothing suggesting conspiracy. This too ties him to the Bletsch case. Specific to Heeringa, when she went missing there was indicated to be blood at the scene, and it was typically speculated by the public that someone had taken her at knifepoint and stabbed her. It seems that one of the details the police kept to themselves was that some .22 accessory parts had been found at the scene as well. When Bluhm dropped details about Heeringa's death (no body yet) and later recanted, he'd made mention of a head wound. This suggests that Willis struck Heeringa with it at the scene, damaging the weapon. The timing of his gun theft is meaningful too, as it was implied to have been stolen a few months before the kidnapping. I don't know anything about this type of gun, and am not sure what "accessory parts" refers to.

Syringes/Insulin Vial: His kit contained these items and my understanding is that insulin can inflict coma when administered on people who aren't already diabetic. This would suggest a link to the Bletsch case, as she was an occupational therapist who possibly spent time with Willis's grandfather. That's iffy. It has also been hinted in the news that Willis's wife has health issues and is why he called a friend after his jailing rather than his wife. It might be that Willis's grandfather or wife was/is diabetic and this could be how he acquired it. Unclear.

Little Blue Pills: These have not been identified to the public yet. Sounds like a description of Viagra, but that's pop culture talking and not pharmacology since there's a large variety of medications out there.

Information specific to the case. I've included some names that are linked due to playing various semi-important roles to questions regarding the case. Please note the only people actually being accused of anything are Jeffrey Willis and Kevin Bluhm. All other parties are either anonymous, deceased or named in the course of the trial.

Persons:

Jeffrey Willis: Being charged with crimes relating to the kidnapping and death of JH and death of RB, the kidnapping of MinorJaneDoe16, homemade child *advertiser censored*.
Jessica Heeringa: Gas Station clerk kidnapped in 2013, presumed deceased. See Cold Case.
Rebekah Bletsch: Occupational therapist murdered while jogging in 2014. See Cold Case.
MinorJaneDoe16: A 16 year old walking home from a party who JW attempted to kidnap at gunpoint. The unsuccessful attempt led to him being identified by the victim when caught on camera at a nearby blueberry farm.
Kevin Bluhm: A corrections officer, who worked in a prison on the same road as JW’s home. Cousin and close friend of JW. Being named as an accessory after the fact and charged, already serving time for lying to the police in a violent investigation. Full extent of role unclear.
Shawn Stefanich: A police officer with NSPD and school friend of JW. First contact when JW was imprisoned. It is unclear why he was contacted, but no charges are being levied and any possible involvement is probably being checked by their IA. With NSPD since 2011 as a patrol officer after transferring from Muskegon Heights Police Dept. Extensive experience as an officer prior to transfer in 2011.
Michelle Schnotala: Hermann Miller co-worker from whom JW stole his murder weapon.
Lorence Willis: JW grandfather, deceased as of 2012. Former resident of Bailey St house, where JW is thought to have been murdered.
C. Willis: Wife #2, divorced as of trial. Not believed to have anything to do with the case. Likely due to radically different living schedules and presumed health issues involved.
Pam Willis: JW mother, deceased as of 2006. Owner of Bailey St house. Home is in trust? Unclear.
Ex1 Willis: Wife #1, killed in car accident, date unknown.
DJ Hilson: Prosecutor
Kostrzewa: Judge in current cases.

Essex: when investigators discovered that RB was killed with a .22 gun, they probably would have put two and two together and realized the possibilities of a relation between her murder, and JH's abduction.

I think what a lot of us thought was that JH was a victim of a crime that would have been more personal in nature. Although the possibility of a stranger abduction was always there. If we would have known about the gun part being found; people may have thought differently.

Some may have had dought about what the witneses said they saw; a lot due to the fact that: after seeing what they saw, and not recording a plate number, and not going back to check on the station.

Then there was the sketch that had people in dought that a human being could actually look like that. After JW was arrested, and we saw his big fat face and beetey little eyes, and how he looked just like the sketch, we knew it was JH's abductor without dought, and this was way before we knew about all the filth he had inside his little silver van.

At this point, we are glad that the Norten Shores Police have done a great job, and worked very hard to solve this case.

A sick monster has been removed from our streets.

The following locations relate to specific victims and are all townships located within Muskegon Cnty. Exploring a thought process.

Fruitport/Muskegon: Jeffrey Willis graduated in 1988 from Fruitport HS. While he most currently lived on the same street as an elementary school within Muskegon Township, it is unclear which of a number of high schools within Muskegon country his daughter would have attended. Due to his employment history, he likely would not have considered Fruitport an option.

Fruitland: 16 year old Ann Doe kidnapee was grabbed here. Fruitland is serviced by Whitehall, Muskgon and Reeths-Puffer HS'es.

Dalton: Rebekah Bletsch was shot here. She was a girls basketball coach at Reeths-Puffer HS. Dalton is directly east of Fruitland. It is unclear which school her daughter attended.

Norton Shores: Wendy Silvey is a 1989 graduate of Reeths-Puffer HS. No indication of children. Due south of Dalton by highway.

"MUSKEGON, MICH. - The attorney for accused murderer Jeffrey Willis was in front of a Muskegon County judge this morning, arguing the press and public should not be allowed access to a preliminary hearing involving Willis and the Jessica Heeringa case.

Lawyers representing numerous different media outlets, including WZZM 13, were also at the hearing. They contend this is a process that normally is open to the public and should remain as such.

More than a month ago, Willis' attorney asked that the media not be allowed to cover a pre-trial related to the charges Willis faces relating to Heeringa"

Websites of note: "Find Jessica Heeringa" on Facebook.

Facebook commenter noted on May 20, 2016 that JW was a janitor at Reeths Puffer (unspecified as MS or HS) as well as Fruitport HS. Date range not noted.

It's awful to think of Jessica being out there somewhere alone I wish monster JW would talk about where he has put her remains the ongoing suffering he is causing to Jessica's family is in humane. But what can we expect from a man without any decency or a conscience I only hope one of his family might get through to him.

Given the vast darkness of his indulgences, between the materials they've found on his computer, his own creations and the various assaults and murders, I can't see a positive outcome. That's not even taking into account what appears to be a flip attitude towards the whole thing that he seems to present. I'm getting the impression that he saw himself as a serial killer in the making and was trying to make himself into one. I think it started with Heeringa, and his ego and success made him sloppy in the other two cases. I'm thinking he saw too much power in his stolen gun, thought it would get him submission and didn't realize that in today's world, people see a gun as a threat that provokes and demands an immediate fight/flight response. Heeringa struggled, and was struck in the head. Bletsch fled and was gunned down, then abandoned when he thought she was dead.. The juvenile fled and escaped. The first two cases are speculation of course, though I'm going to include a document from the courts that makes a pretty good case on Heeringa.

This is a copy of the probable cause claim for a warrant in arresting JW for the open murder/kidnapping of Heeringa, courtesy of Wood TV. It contains many clearer details regarding the statements JW's cousin Kevin Bluhm made, that have been reported rather poorly by the local media. For example, it has long been speculated that Heeringa's blood at the scene was due to being stabbed during the kidnapping. It was later revealed that there were .22 accessory pieces at the scene as well by the police. Bluhm's "confession" that he later recanted suggests that JW actually hit Heeringa in the head with the stolen gun and damaged the weapon while doing so.

Additionally, there's mention of JW actually being reported in a tip about a week after the 2013 kidnapping. Unfortunately, he didn't raise any red flags at the time. Interesting reading and useful for filling in blanks.

It is tragic he was reported to the police just a week after the fact and wasn't arrested.

Oh, I agree, but at that point, he was one in some 1500+ tips. He gave a plausible and obviously prepared alibi that while clearly untrue in retrospect, completely holds up under passing scrutiny. And since he allowed them to search his vehicle, I'm guessing the secret compartment in his (new) vehicle hadn't been installed yet.
