Kent County Sheriff’s Office shared an updated description of missing Cedar Springs teen, Penelope Wise and offered a way for you to help the search.

Penelope went missing from the Morley Park area, according to the initial report— over 5 miles from where the video was taken.

She was quite a distance from home when seen on surveillance video. It's a 2 hour walk. Where was she going? The photo shows her next to the river.

I can't figure out where they are looking. We have Cedars Springs, Morley Park, Rockford Park Drive, and White Pine Trail. Was she in all these places over a timeline?

"As information is coming in, Kent County Sheriff’s Office established via video that Penelope was in the Rockford area near the White Pine Trail about a week ago,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Friday press release. “Our detectives and patrol staff will be in the area looking for any new information. It does appear that she traveled from Cedar Springs to Rockford last week."

She left willingly, she's been seen near the river. If she has mental health issues, one option is to look for a body downstream. Is that where there are searches? Another option is that she has left the area.

Is it confirmed that she is alone? I haven't see anything to suggest otherwise, but it's unusual for someone that age to leave home and not return unless there's another attraction - something to go to.

“When she took off, there was a small disagreement, like a normal teenager. She decided to take a walk at the end of the street, but she never returned,” said Mishael Wise.

Later that day, Penelope was spotted on surveillance video five miles away on Rockford Park Drive.

During a search party at Morley Park, just a couple days after Penelope Wise disappeared, Mishael Wise said she found two shirts on the ground that belonged to her daughter. She was wearing them the day she took off.

It sounds like there was some sort of disagreement before PW left home. Her parents say she has a cell phone but she got it behind their back so they have no way to track it. But the really worrisome part from the OP's article left me very scared for this young girl.

The burner phone leads me to speculate that she was being groomed. She sounds as if she might be intellectually or emotionally compromised, which makes her especially vulnerable. Very concerning.

While anything is possible, my first speculation is that she had an agreed upon meet up with someone. Given what little we know about her, she seems very vulnerable and easily convinced. Against the odds, let's pray for a positive outcome.
