MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. - A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman are expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon on charges in the murder of Stephen McAfee.
Andrew Michael Fiacco and Eevette Renee MacDonald are charged with multiple felonies.
Fiacco, 19, is charged with first-degree murder, disinterment and mutilation of a dead body, lying to a police officer and felony firearms violations.
MacDonald, 18, is charged with accessory after the fact to a felony, disinterment and mutilation of a dead body and lying to a police officer.

This may not establish any sort of connection, but I did find it interesting that both Stephen's and Fiacco's mom had applied for partial guardianship of their respective sons.

It appears that Stephen's mom was appointed as Stephen's partial guardian in Dec. 2015, just a few months before Stephen disappeared.

In Fiacco's case, his mom petitioned for partial guardianship on Feb. 1, 2016, just a little over a month before Stephen went missing, but she withdrew the petition just a couple of weeks later, and the judge dismissed the case altogether

I don't understand why she gets a bond. She is for sure a suicide risk and for a year she's been posting disturbing things on FB. How does someone like that get the privilege of a bond?

One thing that struck me in looking at the male accused FB - he also has a thing for completely changing his appearance like the victim did. Both of them have/had photos that don't even look like the same people.

Without knowing more details of her involvement and the context of her relationship with Fiacco, I can understand the bond to an extent. That said, I do think she is a suicide risk and hope she's being monitored closely.

He has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, however is high-functioning. Stephen loves playing the drums, listening to records, and is super creative (he's quite the artist). Along with these things, Stephen is somebody's son, little brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, and friend. Over a year has gone by, and still, we have no news. This has been an extremely difficult, frustrating, upsetting, and confusing year for his family and friends.

Guardianship for adults with disabilities allows for the guardian to make decisions on behalf of the person with the disability. Guardianship is often sought to ensure that disability checks are not directly sent to the person with the disability and also to make full or limited decisions for the person. Thanks. I knew I read it somewhere. Asperger's is no longer a recognized diagnosis in the current DSM V but would still be included in an ASD (autism spectrum disorder) diagnosis.
