It seems like someone other than DM is very much into motorcycles. Hmmm and unfortunately someone had their very expensive motorcycle stolen from their place in Toronto and parts were found at the hangar! JMO

Come on, we all know that Harley was planted by someone else! (/sarcasm)

(Sorry couldn't resist)

It's interesting, WM died Nov 29, 2011 and in early December a company that they were a client of, Stratfor, was hacked, and then hacked again for xmas:

hackers side of story:
http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2011/12/413210.shtml

Note that the hackers have Millardair listed as one of the A list clients.

Stratfor side of story:
http://www.stratfor.com/hacking-news/what-happened

Anyway DM no doubt had to replace all the Millardair credit cards as that info was hacked and might not have wanted to throw the cards away right away because of the crime. Stratfor did not have their credit card info database encrypted. oops.

Anyway, if there is a good reason for DM to have a bowlful of WM's old credit cards kicking around it may have been related to this incident.

The MRO consultants no doubt used Stratfor to bolster their business case because after all the region of Waterloo was going to become as popular a place to go as Mecca, remember?

SnooperDuper....how the heck are you finding all this. Your name suits you very well :)

We know all the residential property was either inherited free and clear or bought cash.

That hangar, though, was not 100% paid for and in fact seems to have been a money pit and cost at least $1.6M more than expected. Did the $3.8M from the Riverside property cover things, or is that all the bank could get out of that property?

The real estate sales, the bank's claim on the Riverside property, and the individual sale of all the flotsam and jetsam in DM's life amount to more than $7M...$4M of which went into the hangar.

Seems DM is intent on hanging on to the hangar. It will be interesting to see if the Region attempts to seize it based on violations on the lease, or the Crown, based on the criminal activity that took place. I hope they didn't take delivery of the incinerator at the hangar, because then it would have acted as their base of operations while planning a murder.

Anyway looks like DM will pay off the hangar and maintain it as his sole asset.

I thought they had a sweet long lease on the land for that hangar and I highly doubt anyone is interested in purchasing it at this point anyway? He may have no other choice than to hang on to it. Is it rented out at the moment?

IIRC MillardAir was leasing the land for around $20k per year. The region spent loads of money to meet the Millards requests. I wonder what will take place with the hanger and the 50yr lease?

So if they did have the incinerator at the hangar, could LE seize the property and sell it ? I don't know why they did not seize the farm. Maybe he has to be proven guilty in court first. I would be nervous if I were the Landscaping Business that bought the farm. I am all for this. It helps to pay for the Crown's and LE's significant costs in bringing these monsters to justice. If anything is left over, I think it should go to the victims' families.

I don't think the farm or the hangar could be considered property purchased from the proceeds of crime. While there may have been crimes committed at the properties, I believe they were purchased outright with WM's money.

MOO

ETA: Now all the other stuff that is being liquidated might be considered property purchased from the proceeds of crime. Half that stuff is probably stolen in the first place...or at least parts on it.

Naw, I think their problem is going to be, an Employee of Millardair called up and ordered and incinerator and had it delivered to Millardair and that incinerator was later used to hide the death of TB. So one might sue Millardair.

Yeah, they should just cut out the money grubbing lawyers and lawsuits and split up all of remaining funds between the Bosma and Babcock families if he is convicted of both murders. If DP doesn't end up with most of it.

In a perfect world maybe but we all know that will never happen.

ITA. Some of the cars were built from car kits but some of the parts are likely lifted and the serial numbers taken off. When we first found all of the photos from the hangar with all the cars, we all thought the same thing: Chop-shop. With possible illegal sale and shipping of the resulting vehicles. JMO

Yes Kamille the hangar is being rented out according to Meagan on CTV. I kid you not, I saw this report Friday eve on TV and right at the end after Nicole reported on location from the Ayr farmland, Meagan said something like, "There are no plans at this time for the Waterloo hangar as it has tenants who are paying their rent on time". Why that part was cut from the video report is beyond me, but I know what I heard. HTH.
