A Minnesota trooper pulled over a doctor for speeding. Then he gave her his N95 medical masks - CNN
A Minnesota state trooper moved a doctor to tears when he turned what should have been a speeding ticket into a heartwarming act of kindness.

Dr. Sarosh Ashraf Janjua, a cardiologist at a coronavirus quarantine unit in Duluth, was pulled over by Trooper Brian Schwartz for speeding on March 21.

But instead of a ticket, Schwartz handed Janjua five N95 masks he was supposed to use as protection -- along with a firm warning for speeding.

Coronavirus Wednesday update: Five more MN deaths, 60 new cases – Twin Cities

Five more patients have died and there are 60 new COVID-19 cases the Minnesota Department of Health reported Wednesday bringing the state death toll to 17 and case total to 689.

The fatalities reported Wednesday are the state’s largest in one day.

Since the outbreak began, Minnesota has tested 21,191 patients. About 8,280 of those tests were done at the state Department of Health laboratory and 12,911 were done at private labs.

So we were listening to the government update on the virus, and Dr Birx mentioned one of the several models she looks at, Healthdata.org The numbers are sobering. I don't know how to do a link, but just put in what I wrote above, click on state by state predictions, then click on United States of America for the drop down menu, then choose Minnesota and you will see number of hospital beds, ICU beds, ventilators needed. Lots of information, and it will be updated tomorrow. You can check out number of deaths on each date until the peak in August 4. It's mind numbing.

Many metro grocery stores are no offering online pickup. I think this is a great option and intend to register tomorrow. Cub, Byerly's, HyVee all offer it. Haven't checked with others. Pickup is free.
