Ramsey police are asking for help finding 55-year-old David Allen Dahl who was last seen around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

He was walking on foot near the 7600 block of 181st Avenue NW and waring a blue long-sleeve shirt and light brown baseball hat.

Police say Dahl has a medical condition and believe "he might be in danger to to weather and outdoor conditions."

Police think he could be in the Nowthen area and say he does not have a phone or call.

"He might try to seek shelter in a barn to stay warm," the department said in a release.

Those with information are asked to call 763-427-1212.

Dahl is known to visit the Nowthen, Minnesota area. He does not have a phone or vehicle. Police believe Dahl may try to seek shelter in a barn to stay warm and are requesting property owners check nearby sheds, barns, outbuildings and vehicles.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward. Police say no foul play is suspected in connection with the disappearance of Dahl, 56, who was last seen on foot without either a cellphone or car.

Searches with dogs, all-terrain vehicles, drones, a helicopter and a special machine tracker used to scour marshy areas have so far come up empty,.

He had been released from the hospital a few days before his disappearance and has struggled with mental health issues. Family members say Dahl had been homeless before and may have sought shelter in a barn.

Dahl, who worked for years as a machinist, often spent time in the Nowthen area.

United Legacy, a search and rescue organization, has conducted searches and is planning another private volunteer search once the snow clears.

Details of Disappearance​

Dahl was last seen near the 7600 block of 181st Avenue northwest in Ramsey, Minnesota at 3:00 a.m. on November 14, 2017. He was on foot at the time, didn't have a vehicle or a cellular phone, and not properly dressed for the winter weather. He has never been heard from again.

According to his daughter, Dahl had been released from the hospital just a few days before his disappearance. He had been homeless before, sleeping in a tent during the winter of 2016-2017, and has good survival skills. It's possible he sought shelter in a local barn. His case remains unsolved.
