Weird coincidence22.5-year sentence for murder and manslaughter.
In the prison law library and 22 x.
The law sentenced Chauvin to 22.5 yrs.
Kinda ironic.

'Newly released videos show former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on the necks of two handcuffed suspects years before he did the same to George Floyd.
The edited videos were made public Thursday after the Minneapolis City Council voted to settle two civil rights lawsuits for nearly $9 million.
John Pope will be paid $7.5 million. The city settled with Zoya Code for nearly $1.4 million.
They accused Chauvin of excessive force during separate incidents in 2017.
Their attorney, Bob Bennett, released edited body camera footage shortly after the settlements were approved.
New video shows Derek Chauvin kneeling on a teenager’s neck in 2017, three years before he murdered George Floyd.
The video shows Chauvin hit Pope twice in the head with a flashlight, choked him until he lost consciousness and then knelt on the back of his neck for 15 minutes. Pope was 14 years old at the time.

MINNEAPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT TRAINING MANUALWhere are the actual rules or training book he was supposed to follow? What does that say about kneeling on necks?

A horrific murder. Great post, thank you. There;s so much more to the torturous killing of George Floyd than Chauvin's knee.
He was handcuffed on his stomach with Chauvin's one knee on his neck and at times his other knee on his back, Lane held down Floyd's feet while Kueng restrained his torso.
For starters Floyd never ever should have been kept on his stomach and all 3 thugs knew that.
Remember the state's first witness the female dispatcher?
She thought the screen that showed 3 cops on top of a male suspect had frozen because nothing changed from the last time she viewed it.
When she found out it wasn't frozen she called the Sargent, referred to herself as a "snitch" and told him what she's seeing could be excessive force.
That was her first time ever reporting a concern like this.
Even she knew and said numerous times on the stand that she had a "gut feeling".
And here we are 3.5 yrs later and the fans of Chauvin and his 3 thugs are once again trying to defend the indefensible with ridiculous theories and claims.
This is all old news, I just needed to vent.

So they were following their training then? From @Tippy Lynn's link above
Yes they were allowed to put their leg on one or both sides of a person's neck. I heard they changed it after they horrendously murdered Mr Floyd.
7-7-2020 - filed in district court
Neck restraint 25 minutes
Compressing one or both sides of a person's neck with an arm or leg, without applying direct pressure to the trachea or airway (front of the neck)
More importantly WHY was that in their manual and training? Who thought kneeing a neck was a good idea? Was it tested and studied? From @Tippy Lynn's link above

Just because a technique is taught doesn’t mean that an officer cannot be prosecuted for using it longer than absolutely necessary. So they were following their training then?
Does that not undermine their culpability - not entirely - but a little bit?
The coroner's report says no such thing and the evidence at the trial shows that Chauvin was guilty of murder.the autoopussy seems to show he died of an overdose that cop is guilty of a serious assult but not murder
