According to the following link, the state of MN does allow cameras in the courtroom unless one side objects. There must have been an objection, otherwise IMO CourtTV would broadcast the trial. (Although CourtTV is focused on the Murdaugh trial at the moment, but the network will sometimes package a trial in installments for later viewing.)

*Trial continues (Day 3) with jury selection (@ 9am CT) - MN – Heidi Marie Firkus (25) (April 25, 2010, shot in back & died, St. Paul) & husband Nicholas James Firkus (27) (shot in leg by alleged intruder) - *Nicholas James Firkus (27 @ time of crime/38/now 40) arrested (5/19/21), charged (5/20/21), indicted (9/3/21) & arraigned (10/12/21) with 1st degree murder (premeditated) & 2nd degree intentional (not premeditated) murder. Plead not guilty. $3M bond or $1M on condition of surrendering passport & not leaving Minnesota. Posted non-cash bond ($1M) & released. Plead not guilty.
Trial began on 1/23/23 with jury selection.
Today is his 40th birthday!

1/23/23 Monday, Trial Day 1: No other info available. Trial continues on 1/24/23.
1/24/23 Tuesday, Trial Day 2: Jury selection began. The defense will be allowed 15 strikes — moves to dismiss a potential juror without providing a reason — while the prosecution will have nine strikes. Jury selection is set to resume Wednesday. Opening statements are scheduled for Friday, but that will depend on how fast 12 jurors and alternates are selected. No other info available. Trial continues with jury selection on 1/25/23.

Since they do not list Voir Dire for 1/27/23 - wondering if they just forgot to put it on there - or there is no jury selection today. I will go ahead & post it anyway - and will check the court site later.

And when I search only coming up with what happened on 1/26.

Two officers testified, Officers Darin McDonald and Yileng Vang.

"McDonald stated he did not see any obvious signs of forced entry or obvious signs of a struggle."
