Excellent observation, but I'm not sure the physics works that way. If JEW collapsed or dropped as in a struggle, it would momentarily decrease his gravitational acceleration. When he reached his lowest point to the ground, it might deepen the print by a very small amount. Only by accelerating upward would it really increase the depth of the print.
On the other hand, if in a struggle and he pushed at some angle to gravity, the print would be smudged. It does appear to be a clean print, at least in the toe section of the print.
Taking the final alternative, he could have pushed upward against resistance, but this seems unlikely to me.

I do not know how to find it easily, but it would be in the discussion after the latest info .Maybe a couple of pages back?
Thanks human, I did find it. I can see the prints and they do look fainter than JEW's. I'm thinking this is because of an unusual combination of footwear and physiology. I'll hold that thought until there is more info to support it, but it seems like the simplest explanation so far. JEW was wearing what I think were hard "rubber-like" high tops and, given his age, may have still had a small foot. This would concentrate his weight in a smaller area with footwear that doesn't "give" as easily. If you've ever seen high heel marks on a dirt road, a very light girl can leave very distinct marks. It's all about area and pressure, imo.

I see the dogs must have arrived fairly soon. I'm wondering if we have a more exact time for their arrival? Also, and it may sound like a weird question, but does anyone know what time the first helicopter reached the vicinity of the Rassier property? I would guess it was somewhere between 100 and 1000 feet, but who knows? I'm also curious about the police searching along the wood pile. I wonder what made them go that way?
I've asked around about NG helicopters and I'm told it was likely what they called a UH-1 Huey. Seemingly irrelevant but I think it actually could be. Maybe a State police helicopter got there first, dunno.
I think based on the driveway alone, we've got two simplest choices: a conditioned runner or Kevin & Co. I think the runner requires one or two extra assumptions, but I think that can change when we look beyond the initial abduction moment. Still new to this case so please bear with me.

btw, someone asked about where I heard that the scent went beyond the tracks. Apparently an LE person slipped this out in one of the news stories that was posted way back earlier in these threads, between parts 1 and 4. He said the tracks stopped and the scent went a little further, or words to that effect. This is still, imo, a crucial thing to verify. Was the dog circling (just means he was trying to reacquire the scent) or was it forward progression? Was it lateral to the driveway?

Shergal, WOW, thank you! Given that this is all of, like, 9 posts for me, this is the proverbial no comment moment. Oh, okay, a little ;-)
I'm going to try to catch up on the threads and see what is known about Kevin & Co. For now, I'll just note what I see as most likely, anyway:
1. There were not less than 3 people present at the moment of JEW's last print.
2. JEW was lifted vertically to a height exceeding what he himself could reach.
3 JEW was cooperating but not willing.
4. A car was present and the car doors were never opened.
5. The hoof prints and other markers all show a temporal ordering suggesting their relative impression times.
Maybe that's all wrong, but that is what I see. That is my first impression. So, I have a conundrum. And it is a somber moment when the crime scene first reveals a psychological feature of the victim.

Kevin drives to Tom Thumb, sees 'medical cop', then notices LE squad car at Cotton Dentist office, talks to him, cop says 'we know about the bikes'

Sigrun, I thought I read somewhere that it was the girlfriends mother whose house Kevin was at along with the girlfriends brother and wife, the lived on Minnesota Ave not far from Tom Thumb and Kevin actually had an apartment above or beside Kay's Restaurant.

Thank you, and that makes this very strange to me. Yes, exactly who was at the house? What are their full names (if we can ask that)? My first impression may be wrong, but it sure did leap out at me. What exactly is Kevin & Cos. alibi?

There is no footprints of the perpetrator entering a vehicle. Its only of a person walking behind Jacob and then pulling him back into the ditch and into the farm. If a vehicle is involved the footprints I'm looking for have to exist and they aren't there. DR had been aware of "lovers lane" all his life, he knew to make it look like Jacob was taken from there in a vehicle.
Did you mean Kay's Kitchen? If so, that is apparently where the boy whose jacket was ripped off was attacked, but I haven't found the street address yet.
