This is so sad and so deeply frustrating.

This grown man seemingly believed that he had the authority to control a child and make the decision to end her life because.......reasons.

The look on his face sums up everything that I need to know about his character and attitude.

The only positive that I can pull from this is that is an adult and hopefully that fact will lock him up forever.

My deepest condolences to her family.

boyfriend.

this story lost me right there. how does a 14 year old have an 18 year old boyfriend???? RIP little girl.

They were in a relationship for several months.
Through further questioning, Arndt eventually admitted that he and Walker had been in a relationship for several months, but had recently broken up. Arndt told detectives that Walker asked him who his new girlfriend was, but when he wouldn’t tell her, she started to hit and kick him.

He stabbed her a bunch, cut her throat, hugged her, and then stabbed her one more time. Disgusting!

Later in the day on August 20th, detectives went back to the Cass County Jail to speak with Arndt. Detectives say during this conversation, Arndt admitted that he knew Walker wasn’t alive when he left the scene. Arndt told detectives that after he stabbed Walker several times, he then cut her throat, gave her a hug and stabbed her one more time in the back. Arndt says after this, he then drug her body to the river, where he left her.

Murder suspect being extradited to Clay County

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A man accused of killing a 14-year-old Moorhead girl appeared in Cass County Court on Friday morning.

Isaac Arndt, 18, appeared before a judge via zoom from the Cass County Jail for an extradition hearing. Arndt was arrested on August 20 and is facing a 2nd degree murder charge. He will be transferred to Clay County, where the alleged crime took place, and that’s where official charges will be filed.

According to a warrant, Arndt and the victim, 14-year-old Jaelyn Walker, were previously in a relationship and agreed to meet at Gooseberry Park on August 19. Walker’s mother filed a missing person report with the Moorhead Police Department after midnight on August 20 and police found her body near the Red River in the area of 6th Avenue and Elm Street South.

Detectives questioned Arndt and he eventually admitted to stabbing Walker about 13 times. He also said he slashed her throat, gave her a hug and stabbed her one last time in the back before leaving on his scooter.

Arndt told detectives he ditched his scooter and went to his apartment in Fargo, where he cleaned up and washed his clothes that were covered in blood.

The warrant describes video surveillance from a nearby house which shows Arndt leaving the wooded area in Moorhead, where Walker was found.

Walker would have been a freshman at Moorhead Area Public Schools this fall.
