There were a few articles about the search for Grace in the Joplin Globe.

Grace was last seen leaving her job at the Sonic Drive-In in Joplin on October 6, 1994. Her car was found four days later on October 10. It was a black 1990 Ford Probe. Her purse and keys were not in the car, which had been parked near the boat ramp for several days, and was registered to her soon to be ex-husband, John. She had an upcoming divorce hearing which she missed. Police seem to think she may have left on her own accord, though. "Nothing to indicate foul play."

I'm not sure why all of the current sites have her working in real estate. Another Joplin Globe article lists her job as receptionist for Southwest Services.
