  • Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Palmer may have a mustache. He has several marks on his forehead and numerous scars on one of his legs. His nickname is Brother.

Details of Disappearance​

Palmer was last seen in Richton, Mississippi on August 20, 2001. He had left his mother's house with a friend that morning and, early in the afternoon, stopped at Brewer Grocery, a convenience store located on eastbound Highway 42 outside of Richton.

While at the grocery, Palmer entered a black or dark blue 1990s model Nissan or Pontiac Grand Am with a faded exterior. He told his friend that he would return shortly. There was at least one unidentified individual inside the car at the time. Palmer has never been heard from again.

Unknown. Alvin was last seen at a convenient store on Hwy 42 East in Richton, MS getting into a faded black vehicle with one or more persons. He indicated that he would be back shortly, but never returned.

Additional Information: His friend, Kenny Shaw, stated that Palmer got out of his car and into a faded, dark blue or black 90s model Nissan or Pontiac Grand Am.>>
 

Linda Palmer’s son, Alvin Palmer Jr., went missing on Aug. 20, 2001.
He was last seen at a Richton convenience store.
Palmer doesn’t think her son will be found alive, but she hopes someone will come forward with information about what happened to him.

Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles said he’s confident this cold case will be solved.

“We have recently received some information that we have been working actively on that case and we are pretty deep into it at this time,” Nobles said.
