Details of Disappearance
Garcia was last seen at his home on Highway 8 east in Houston, Mississippi on February 16, 1994. He has never been heard from again. He and his wife were in the process of separating at the time. She told police two different stories about his disappearance.

In one story, his wife went to get her daughter from church and when she came back, her husband was gone. His wife's other story is that he left with two garbage bags of clothing, a box of important papers and a 19-inch television set and never returned. None of the items he allegedly took with him has ever been found.

At the time of his disappearance, Garcia lived near his ex-wife and their two young daughters and was an active presence in the children's lives, visiting them regularly. He left behind two paychecks at his workplace.

Although there is no hard evidence of foul play in his case, the passage of time since Garcia went missing and the fact that none of his loved ones have heard from him is concerning. His case remains unsolved.

Frank Garcia

35-year-old Frank Garcia was last seen on February 16, 1994, in Houston, Mississippi. He was reported missing almost a week later when he failed to pick up two of his checks from his place of work and no one had heard from him. Frank's daughter told Dateline her father was believed to be last seen wearing a ball cap, blue jeans, and a t-shirt. She also noted that Frank had two tattoos: one arm says 'Nancy,' for his first wife, and the other arm says 'Ginger,' for his second wife. At the time of his disappearance, he was 5'5" and 150 lbs., with black hair and dark brown eyes. Frank would be 63 years old today. Investigator Terry Ward with the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office told Dateline that officials have no evidence of foul play in Frank's disappearance. Ward confirmed Frank's case is still open and active and that the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department would investigate any tips that come in about his disappearance. If you have information on Frank's whereabouts, please call the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department at 662-456-2339.

Circumstances of Disappearance

On February 16, 1994, Garcia left his job at Franklin Manufacturing in Houston. Police initially thought he may have left on his own accord, but when he did not contact his family and failed to pick up his last two paychecks, the missing persons case turned into a possible homicide.

In June 2005, police got a tip that Garcia's body may be buried in a levee about seven miles east of Houston on Highway 8, but after days of digging, no body was found.

<<On Feb. 16, 1994, Garcia, then 35, left his job at Franklin Manufacturing in Houston.

The case was put on CrimeStoppers several times, prompting anonymous tips. All, however, have led to dead ends. The search even drifted into Clay County when authorities spent a week draining Dexter's Pond after someone called and said Garcia's body might be found there; no body was found.>>
