I am stuck on Eric. So many people couldn't have heard this wrong. Since it is a small town, she knew everyone around. But not an Eric from out of town. That is why she could not say more, like his surname. Because she did not know.

Someone below asked the same Q and she answered with "I don't know".

IMO, this Eric is involved with this along with this animal. I wonder if he is investigated about JC a year later when the Taiwanese girl's murder came to light.
