Oh No....I mean we all knew this was likely, but this one hits me hard....RIP Beverly and Greg..... I had so hoped for a miracle.... I hope they have people that will take their dogs... I feel so bad for them too, they are also victims here.... So very sad.... IMHO

Gee....we knew it but still...just heartbreaking. I have been away from my phone and computer since mid-afternoon.

Now off to read more.

Beverly and Greg....Rest in peace with no more sorrow.
 
I'm thinking the housekeeper that found the gold bar, told someone... who told someone? YKWIM?
 
Two decent people seemingly living modestly, humbly, and quietly.

Two lives taken and for what?

Don't know the details yet but this outcome was not unexpected.

So very sorry to see this. These cases involving older folks just break my heart. To work your whole life only to have some come along and murder you because they want what you have just seems doubly unfair.

RIP Beverly and Gregory.

The article also mentions two dump sites in a heavily wooded area - one with evidence of the crimes, and the other containing the bodies. POI Prior record to include assault, burglary, and robbery. Poor people. RIP

"According to Conweb, the suspect, David Nelson, was on probation through the Anaconda Probation and Parole Office in Anaconda. The website shows he served time for robbery, aggravated assault and accountability for aggravated assault out of Ravalli County (Hamilton) in 1998. His crime record also shows a conviction for burglary in Beaverhead County in 1981."

He is 53, but could pass for 60+ in my book, looking at his photo in the link of him in the orange jumpsuit.
Perhaps he could be???
