MISSOULA, Mont. — The Missoula Police Department is searching for a missing woman.

Nefataree Bartell, 26, was last seen Monday afternoon in Missoula and was reported missing Wednesday.

The City of Missoula Police Department is requesting assistance from the public for information regarding a 26-year-old female, Nefataree Bartell.

Bartell was reported missing on March 8th and was last seen in the Missoula area on Monday March 6th, in the afternoon.

MISSOULA - Missoula Police say they are continuing to investigate the disappearance of a 26-year-old Missoula woman.

MPD spokeswoman Whitney Bennett tells MTN News they continue to investigate the circumstances around missing woman Nefataree Bartell.

Bartell was last seen in the Missoula area on Monday, March 6 in the afternoon but wasn't reported missing to police until March 8.

When pressed for the exact location of Nefataree Bartell's last location, Bennett said detectives are still investigating and will release information to the public when ready.

In a press release, MPD says through further investigation, the previous report of Nefataree Bartell, 26, being seen on March 6th was unsubstantiated.

Now they are saying the last confirmed contact with Nefataree Bartell was early afternoon on February 21st, in the area of Gold Creek and Highway 200.

MPD says the individual who spoke with her on that day has already been interviewed by detectives.

A Search and Rescue has already been activated in the area according to MPD.

Bartell's mother tells MTN News her daughter is 7 months pregnant and has two sons.

Police initially reported Nefataree Bartell, known as “Neffy” or “Nef” to her family and friends, disappeared around March 6, but said on Tuesday that report was unsubstantiated. A search and rescue is active in the Gold Creek area, according to the press release. The person who spoke with Nefataree Bartell on Feb. 21 was interviewed by detectives.

She is a lifelong Missoula resident with two sons, ages 3 and 8, Charlene Bartell, Nefataree’s mother, said in a phone call with the Missoulian.
