Just being devil's advocate regarding the scratches on his arms. If he was assisting in the search, he could have worn sleeves to avoid tree branches, briars, etc. Doesn't really explain why he would STILL have them on in one of the later photos. Mosquitoes are also pretty bad around here right now and he could have had bites and scratched them which may have left marks. He could have worn sleeves just to avoid having these scratches seen, preventing any further speculation. Just some random thoughts.

Im not too worried about the long sleeve thing. I just noticed in the pictures thats what he wore, but when someone mention his arms had scratches  . lots of people dont like the sun, His skin coloring is not fair though and he enjoys running and stuff. just makes you go humm! jmo

Thanks. The chit must have hit the fan when she came home. I'm thinking if he said she went jogging he must have dumped her there unclothed. This is so pathetic; lovely home, adorable children.

Has he lawyered up yet?

i'm curious as to what clothing she had on, because LE won't comment on the clothing, when her body was found....interesting though...unclothed, hmmmm

& no, as far as this latest article...he hasn't lawyered up...yet

It is an interesting question isn't it ? And I would agree - someone who knew something and it was enough to cause them concern.

Maybe the phone conversation with Brad was enough to cause concern, I wonder how that went.

Welcome to Ohio RC!

Hi everyone,

I'm a long time reader but haven't had much to say so far.
This really is a wonderful forum with so much information,
I appreciate being here.
As for Brad, well, the first time he was interviewed on FOX, I thought
his concern sounded forced. I also noticed that he answered some of the
questions with double "Nos".
When he was asked whether Nancy took a cell phone, he said "No, No."
It was as though he was trying too hard...........just my take and my own
opinion of course.
I followed the Jessie Davis case very close, and I'm still wondering when
or if Drew Peterson will ever be arrested....but that is another discussion
all together.
Thanks to everyone who goes the extra mile to keep us all informed.

Another newbie here. Hello everyone.
So is anybody thinking he was a violent spouse, I mean aside from the murder of this woman? I ask this because of the fact that the friend immediately called the police to report her missing. Obviously Nancy had told her enough to frighten her. May be a dumb question under the circumstances but could there have been violent events previously?

Im curious too! He would have to be dumb if he told Le what she was wearing that morning and then they found her in something different. That would point right to him! jmo

Welcome NC Curious I am glad you joined us! It is very possible he has been violent before. I am sure her friends are telling police everything she has ever told them.

It's not like in the movies where the husband just willingly packs a suitcase and leaves to fall into the arms of his new honey...men do not want to leave their homes and it's very hard to get them out in most cases, esp when they are paying a big mortgage. If she was pushing for him to leave, custody of the girls, plus he knew he was going to get hit with big alimony and child support payments. Nancy didn't work so I think she would have gotten alimony. I do think they had a horrible fight that night when she got home and that was it.

There seem to have been a lot of people asking why he didn't call the police when his wife didn't come home, but realistically, they were not in a happy marriage. She was at the pool with the kids on Friday afternoon, and was at home with them every day when he was at work. She went out to a party without him (it seems) on Friday night, and I haven't heard anything about how she got home (drove herself, another friend, walked, etc.) or what time she left the party. Honestly, in her situation I might very well have said on more than one occasion..."I'm going out and I'll be back when I get back". She already had plans for the day without him. If he was having an affair then he obviously wasn't the loving and concerned husband that would typically be waiting for his wife to come home so they could do something together on a Saturday afternoon. It seems they were already trying to stay out of eachothers way.

Swimmom,

This makes sense to me and I was questioning why he didn't call LE to report Nancy missing. My bigger and more important question however is why a friend would call to report Nancy missing because she did not show up for a pre-arranged event they had.

What would make a friend call and report Nancy missing because of that ? Thinking about that - wow !

Maybe Nancy had confided in this friend and her gut told her to call LE.

a friend that knew something, IMO...knew that Nancy possibly feared for her life??

eta...ok, that sounded a bit dramatic, although i think it's still possible.....but it could be a friend that maybe knew that Nancy was afraid of Brad...maybe something was mentioned by Nancy to this friend, & when Brad didn't seem concerned, she got a red flag?

Nope - not dramatic. ITA with you - "red flag"!

New here too, and I live in the area that this happened.

There are two Harris Teeter's close by, both within 2-3 miles.
