Sheriff Ralph Kersey says 3-year-old Allison Oxendine is missing from the Hunt Road area of Laurel Hill.

Crews searching for missing 3-year-old out of Scotland County

Kersey says 3-year-old Allyson Oxendine wandered from her home on Hunt Drive around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

He said the girl was outside with her father, while he was at the clothesline when she went missing.

Kersey added the father searched for her for about 45 minutes but was unable to find her.

It's fairly warm (overnight low predicted to be one 69° but with 40-50% chance of rain). It's east of Charlotte. I hope it doesn't rain.

Kids often curl up and sleep when they're tired, but they can sure go a long way.

A 3-year-old girl is missing out of Scotland County and crews are searching for her Wednesday night, according to the Scotland County Sheriff. The sheriff’s office told News13 just after 11 p.m. that an Amber Alert was “underway now”.

This is my hometown's backyard. Two white dogs disappeared with her and have not returned. There is a link for that, but im too tired to go find it. I do believe she wondered off. Prayers that the dogs stay with her. There is a chilly rain right now. LE and First Responders have staged at a nearby gas station and plan to work through tbe night. I dont have a link for that, but it's true unless something changes. Please pray that tbe dogs stay with her and keep her warm.

I'm in Charlotte so this is not quite 2 hours east of me. This time of year, weather can vary a bit from one town to another so I don't know exactly what the weather conditions there are but it has been raining for most of the day today across the state and will continue to do so through tomorrow. Currently, it is 67º here so I'd imagine it'd still be in the 60s in Laurel Hill, as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with this sweet young baby. I seem to remember another young child who wandered off and was found several hours later. He said a bear kept him warm.

That was actually quite close by. Same county, if i remember correctly. I like bears.

Amber Alert has indeed been issued. I wonder why - doesn't seem to fit the criteria as I know it. IMO

Amber Alert issued for missing NC 3-year-old girl

Police say Oxendine was last seen wearing pink Sweat Pants Red Shirt Crock slip-on shoes with two white dogs.

Search and Rescue personnel along with members of another agency are assisting in the search. Sheriff Kersey says the girl was last seen wearing pink pants and a purple top.
