SHERIFF’S OFFICE FOLLOWING UP ON REPORTED MISSING NASHVILLE WOMAN

Nashville, NC- On Saturday, March 9, 2019 at approximately 7:36 P.M., Nash County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 200 block of Old County Home Road in Nashville for a call for service regarding a missing person report.

The missing person, Diana Alejandra Keel, 38-year old Hispanic Female, was last seen by her husband, Lynn Keel, on Friday, 03/08/2019. According to Diana Alejandra Keel’s employer, she had not reported to work in the last few days. Diana Alejandra Keel’s vehicle is still parked at the residence.

Diana Alejandra Keel is described as 5’2” in height, approximately 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

This missing person investigation is still ongoing by the detectives of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office. Any information related to this missing person investigation can be relayed to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office at (252) 459- 4121 or Twin County Crime Stoppers at (252) 977-1111. No further information at this time.

Good morning. I’m headed to Nash County, North Carolina were Rexford Lynn Keel will appear before a judge on First Degree Murder.

Nash County man accused of stabbing wife to death to be held without bail

"A Nash County judge told Lynn Keel the first-degree murder charge carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment without parole or death"
"You are not entitled to have bail set at this time, so I'm not going to set bail," the judge told Lynn Keel. "

"He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 11 for a probable cause hearing."

Obituary for Diana Alejandra Keel
Diana Alejandra Guevara Prada Keel, 38, passed away March 12, 2019. She was born October 1, 1980 in Malaga, Colombia. She left this earth before her time, and she made it that much more beautiful while in it. She was loving, compassionate, and a selfless giver. She took care of her family before herself, in sickness and in health. Her gorgeous smile lit up everyone’s day, and she made it her goal to spread happiness everywhere she went. She was a mother, a second mother, a friend, and the supporting light for multiple people. She will always be remembered with so much love. Rest in peace Aleja, we love you.

Diana is survived by her mother, Esperanza Prada; son, Rexford M. Keel Sr.; daughter, Laura A. Keel Guevara; brother, Mauricio Guevara Prada, and extended family and friends.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 25, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Visitation followed the service. Donations may be made to the family.
