interesting. cannot find his arrest on any site (pender co, onslow co, jacksonville sheriff)

https://inmatelookup.pendersheriff.com/InmateLookup
http://inmatesearch.jaxsheriff.org/pgInmateSearchHits.aspx

this is his HISTORY but with no current listing:
http://webapps6.doc.state.nc.us/opi...turl=pagelistoffendersearchresults&listpage=1

then i tried vinelink and this comes up:

https://www.vinelink.com/#/quickhelp?par=search

Possible reasons the offender or case was not found:

Facility Offline: Occasionally, a facility may experience loss of connection to VINE due to service interruption or required maintenance. During this time, the facility is considered to be offline.

Temporarily Offline Agencies
Iredell County Sheriff's Office
Onslow County Sheriff's Office
Person County Sheriff's Office

bbm wondering how common this is (coincidence?) OR is the case being so closely held to the vest that they don't even want his name out there? or is he not listed as an inmate anywhere bc he hasn't been indicted, just arrested? rabbit is impatient for some information :banghead:

The warrant clearly states he broke in to the residence between 11 pm and 3:30 am to steal the dressers. Trying to figure out how LE knew that specific time frame - did someone see him before 11pm and after 3:30 pm so they know the break in was committed during those hours, various witnesses saw him out and about during that time period, LE is basing timeline off what EK told them? They would have to have some evidence to narrow down that specific timeline I would think.

Another WSer shared this link earlier. There are 2 separate listings for the charges and a 3rd for a speeding ticket.

http://www1.aoc.state.nc.us/www/calendars.Offense.do?submit=submit&case=6602017057544&court=CR

But nothing regarding where he is currently.

I know it is very common for vinelink to be down for my county at least once a month for a week or so at a time. Also in my county once someone is arrested they will show up on a booking report but will not show up on an inmate search for roughly 30 days. Different counties probably handle things differently so don't know if my experience with my county is the norm.

and busylady, KW said he was the last to see her at midnight when he told her to go back to bed.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mariah-woods-missing-3-year-old-dead-earl-kimrey-arrested/

so possibly LE completely disbelieves her story. otherwise the window should be midnight to 3:30.

They could be basing it off when KW said she last saw her at 11 pm and not believing EK saying he saw her at midnight. Which means they aren't buying EK story of seeing her at midnight and basing it off KW last seeing her.

It is possible KW told LE she went to bed at 11pm and he was there and he must of went out because she heard him come back home around 3:30 am. I just can't figure out the 3:30 time unless someone saw him returning home.

I'm sure it all depends on the county and how they handle their cases. Up here in NJ if someone is booked into my local county jail their name will appear within minutes of their entry into the jail and there is a direct list that is maintained on the county jail website. One county over on the other hand (a high crime county I might add) you can't find any listing, anywhere, for who is in the county jail.

well either way i hope the he said/she said works to LE's advantage...i'm still on the fence about most of the case including time (even day) of death...

AW said a neighbour saw him(?) leave from the trailer carrying something around the 3am mark.

That is a lot of people in jail in Onslow!!

I checked Vinelink a day after EK was arrested and Onslow County was offline. Maybe Onslow is always offline.

Is the Dec 18 court date the time EK will enter his plea on the charges?
I would like to know that too. Every case I follow they always plead not guilty anyway though.

Just a thought re: timeline. We've been discussing that AW reports a neighbor telling him she saw EK carrying something out of the backdoor of the trailer at 3am. How do we know that's a legitimate report? AW could have made that up in an effort to get KW/EK into trouble or to put pressure on LE to investigate them further or, if AW is reporting a truthful statement from the neighbor, perhaps the neighbor has ulterior motives in telling AW that story. The timeline of when Mariah could have been disposed of (I hate that phrase) has been built around AW's singular report of what a neighbor may or may not have said.

Also, something else has been bugging me. This report that EK "punched" the older boy and gave him a nosebleed. That isn't sitting well with me for a couple of reasons. First off, a punch to the face of a 10yo is going to do a lot more damage than just a nosebleed, there's going to be some heavy bruising that would have been evident to LE the first time they saw the boy. If EK had, in fact, punched the boy he wouldn't have done so in a controlled manner, he was upset and angry, maybe scared (if the speculation surrounding the punch is accurate), he wouldn't have been thinking "hey, this is a 10yo, I better only lightly punch him," No, he would have reacted on impulse and hit the boy hard, resulting in more than just a nosebleed. So, having questioned the validity of the punch, maybe it wasn't a punch at all that resulted in a nosebleed, perhaps it was a slap instead. If it was a slap (while still not a cool thing to do to anyone, let alone a child) perhaps the slap wasn't the result of the boy stumbling onto some nefarious plot to dispose of his sister or interrupting a SA in progress, maybe the boy mouthed off to EK or his mother and EK slapped him a little too hard. Maybe this incident of the nosebleed is completely unrelated to whatever happened to Mariah.

Sorry, I'm not sure where I'm going with this, just thinking out loud about alternative explanations and scenarios.

Hi Everyone.

This article is a bit misleading starting with the headline.

"Mariah Woods Mother Blaming her Son in North Carolina Toddles Death"

When you read this headline from the International Business Times it sounds official as in the mom said this herself which is not the case.

It's the bio dad, Alex Woods, and his fiance, making this accusation based on what they say the cops told them. This is from a podcast by Nancy Grace recorded a few days ago.

I am going by the article on Nancy's site. Haven't had a chance to listen to the podcast yet.

Here is the link http://www.crimeonline.com/2017/12/...llegedly-blames-her-young-son-for-tots-death/

Is this a rumor? Yes, but it is from the bio dad who claims the cops told him.

So do we call AW a liar and say the cops never said that to him? Not unless the cops come out and make that claim. No, we do not call AW a liar.

If you DO NOT treat this as a cold hard fact then we can allow a discussion as it pertains to Mariah's mom and her possible involvement.

This situation is one of the grey areas on Websleuths. One of about 12 million grey areas :)

If you have questions please send a private message rather than ask on the forum.

Thanks,
Tricia

all of us should know when there is a divorce and custody issues, there is a whole lotta mud slinging, just saying and thank you Trish for letting us know this info

Same here. So....mom saw MW at 11;00, EK saw her at midnight. LE says EK stole the dressers between 11:00 and 3:30 a.m. I'm thinking we can throw out the 11:00 and midnight stories.

LE gave the timeline 11:00-3:30, so IMO they must have some information from a credible source to have narrowed EK's whereabouts down to that short a window. As for the nosebleed, regardless of the force used, I believe Mariah's brother to be credible based on the prior report of being beat with a belt last year and removed from the home. The report of EK busting the windows out of the van just a few weeks prior to Mariah's death substantiates my belief that EK was abusive. MOO
