Realize this might not be well-received, but is it possible that there were legal reasons for the land owner not wanting the pond drained? Or perhaps financial? If he volunteered for it to be drained, would the city/county then be free of being financially responsible for refilling it? I know having water brought in to quickly fill a mid-sized pool can be quite expensive.
Did they have to obtain a warrant to have the dive teams search it or drag it? If not, it's probably less likely that he is hiding something. Perhaps he's unsympathetic to the situation and that is sad, perhaps he has something to hide (maybe it drains in a way that isn't up to code or is against some city regulation?) Or perhaps he is sympathetic to the situation but doesn't want to be forcibly financially responsible in aiding the search? Who knows...

I'm surprised they haven't yet searched the neighbors house. Not saying she took Raul but wouldn't it be standard procedure to search the last location he was seen?

Same here -- quite often, as I think many of us here have seen, LE searches houses around the area to make sure 1) he's not hiding there, or 2) someone has hidden him/his body there. Most neighbors, from what I've seen, are okay about allowing the search.

Maybe they have already done the neighborhood search? If so, it hasn't been reported from what I have seen so far.

This explains that Raul's and the neighbors gardens are adjacent and Raul wouldn't have had to go on any of the paths or roads.

This raises the question then, if this means that he got to her house via the back yard, why did she send him home out to the road? (if indeed she did -- I don't have a link at hand but I seem to recall MSM quotes on this thread about her seeing him go out to the street but not which way he went)

This certainly looks like a missing child. Someone who routinely goes barefoot leaves home without his shoes. Maybe he often goes out doors without shoes and thought nothing of it. Maybe he had no plans to go anywhere other than the neighbors house. The neighbor verifies that he was there and clarifies he wasn't speaking. That could be innocent enough but it has an ominous sound in light of the fact the child never returned home. Hopefully they have carefully investigated the neighbor to clarify that Raul left there on Wed. and determine if possible where he went from there.

The sister spoke on IG earlier. She said that her mom cries when she sees those footprints. She thinks they're his. She (sister) said a woman who lives by there also has little children that she takes to the pond, so they could be her child's.
It be interesting to know whether there were any adult footprints. If not, they're likely Raul's. 😞

I don't know, it's hard enough to think that this 4 yr. old was walking in the cold barefoot, I think it would be unlikely another small child would be out in the cold barefoot. JMO

IMO the reason for the warrant could be just in case the child was found in the pond. Making sure the search is legal? Covering all bases KWIM?

What kind of tiger print and rocket ships, for example? Would there be some reason not to share that information?

By the way, I did look on NC SAVAN -- Scotland County Deten for Carlos Gonzales and Carlos Gonzalez. I did see a "Carlos Gonzalez" listed as incarcerated there. No other info was given. I can only assume it is the individual having to do with Raul's case.

I believe he may be a Native American. I went down a deep rabbit hole on Facebook last night and the Mom’s family has a lot of Native Pride posts on their pages. Not sure which tribe.

I’m familiar with the area. Most of the Native Americans are of Lumbee descent. The mother looks like most Lumbee Indians in the area.
