IIRC, cadaver dogs were able to track Lacey to the dock parking lot by the ocean the boat went into. If they are using scent dogs right now....maybe they'd have more luck with cadaver....just saying.

ETA: Cadaver dogs would be more effective if this little sweetie was not alive when taken from her home.

I would think if I were LE I would bring out all types of dogs just in case ...as far as being put in a plastic bag, I would think that the plastic bag would keep the scent contained enough for the dog to not pick up a trail but that is JMO..only

FORTY TWO registered sex offenders within two miles of the home?! This is insane. Do you think sex offenders tend to congregate in certain areas, including this one, and this is why there are so many so close, or are there just THAT many sex offenders out there these days? Scary, either way. What's wrong with people?

From what I've read on the subject (which isn't much) there are opponents of laws restricting them from living in certain areas, such as within so many feet of a school, church, daycare, playground, etc. They argue that the effect is to cause SOs to be forced to live in a limited number of areas (a trailer park makes perfect sense) where they do in fact tend to meet other SOs, and that interaction with other SOs reinforces their tendencies.

I don't know how I feel about that argument, the part about their interactions makes sense.

Well I'll just be dammm:furious: CPS has been involved, variety of drugs taken from home and kids are returned to parents!:banghead: This sounds just like the situation my granddaughters live in and Montana CPS thinks it's okay too for the kids to live with their mother and her endless supply of and ever changing boyfriends.
I'm beyond :furious::furious::furious: with North Carolina CPS!

I'm so sorry about your little granddaughters' situation! I don't know if you've talked about it on WS before...if you have, I missed it. I'm sure you are doing anything and everything you can to help them. It must be so hard for you! HUGS!

They should used water scent dogs. They can detect human scent that is in or under water focusing on the scene of the bodily gases that rise up. They work in a boat or shoreline. The diver has to be ready to search as soon as the dog indicates.

Nancy Grace talking about Shanya now...
Reporter says both adults in home at time of police response currently at headquarters being questioned.

Confirming dogs didn't pick up on scent

Search called off now - didn't catch if it was just for evening or not???

Repeating DSS / household drugs problem

Police have questioned all neighbors in area including 3 SO's in the immediate area - including 1 SO who offended against kids (close to that)

Mark Klaas stating that no scent doesn't mean she didn't leave the area and that she could have been carried out of the area and dogs still would not / might not hit.

think that's it...

I suppose it's too much to ask to restrict them from living.....

It's been reported that this family has quite a history with CPS. Is this NOT something CPS would look at before returning children to the home? FGS - bad enough they were returned to a questionable home and parents, but to consider the dangers right outside of the home - 42 RSO's and lord only knows how many more NOT registered!

We've had 3 babies found safe in the last week - 2 just today. I pray it's not too much to hope for this one to be found safe as well.

212 SO in the area and 3 are neighbors........on NG
Beautiful little one..........
Child Services called in allot and on severe case, but no mention when or what!

Missing children around the same age are disappearing almost daily.
This has to stop..............
It's maddening!
Are people being copycats?
and most involve drugs and bad life styles?
Is it just MO, or did this seem to pop up after KC killed CAYLEE???
People see a family of lies and got away with allot and made allot of money???

This is my first post so I hope I'm doing this right! I was just at cnn.com and read that LE now suspects foul play. Also there was an infant in the house as well. Don't know if this has been posted already.

passion.... did you say 212 rsos? really? My GOD that is like dangling a piece of bloody tissue in a shark tank! (substitute children for bloody tissue in this case)
