A little off topic, but I remember Jason's mom talking about how her heart sinks every time she notices the 13th come up on the calendar. How truly agonizing it must be for her. Twenty years. So sad.
Personally, I don't think it matters whose idea it was to meet at the school.
Yes, I agree.I disagree. If it was completely Jason's idea, that leaves the possibility that he was planning a detour.
There are a couple smaller podcasts that have done his case in recent years. Unfound Podcast is one. The problem with Jason's case is that there isn't a whole lot of content to explore for creators. People like to talk about cases with evidence, POIs, recent developments, etc., but with Jason's case there's none of that. He was here one second and gone the next. There really isn't much to fill a lot of time on, and unfortunately there hasn't been any movement in 20 years. With the popularity of true crime still surging, I really wish an investigative journalist or podcast would cover Jason's case. Someone like that could potentially uncover a lot about the case - or at least bring more attention to it.
I wonder if it would be worthwhile to write to some popular podcasts and ask them to look at Jason's disappearance. Has anyone tried something like that? Maybe if a few of us did it, that could sway them?

But even still, it just seems so odd that in a split second, some neighbor would see him walking for the first time in awhile and then suddenly decide to lure him and kill him. Personally I still think that he was making a stop along the way. Could definitely have been someone right on the route, but I think it was slightly more premeditated than just seeing him walking and abducting him.

What I would really, really like to see is a cold case investigative team taking on this case and producing a tv segment about it afterwards. Perhaps they could get details on all the neighbours enroute to Jason's school as a main form of enquiry. I wonder if there is somewhere we could request that to be looked at.
Are you thinking along the lines of Unsolved Mysteries? They have a story submission form: Submit Your Very Own Mystery to Unsolved Mysteries
What if we all bombard them with submissions about Jason?

Edit: I just submitted my form! It only took me 5 minutes. I'm sure they get thousands of submissions, but if more of us do it, that might make them look more closely at Jason.

Thanks for the link. I just submitted one for Jason as well!
I would like to see a cold case team thoroughly investigate Jason's disappearance. For one thing, a look at all of the local sexual predators who lived on various routes that Jason could've taken to the school. I believe there were a number of them.
