This is my first time starting a thread so hopefully I'm doing it right...

From http://www.northjersey.com/news/police-woman-s-body-found-near-ross-dock-in-fort-lee-1.1527844:

FORT LEE — The body of a woman in her mid-30s was found Monday on the rocks along the Hudson River in the Ross Dock area of the Palisades Interstate Park, authorities said.

Police said the woman, who appeared to have been dead for about 48 hours, was not immediately identified, and they asked for the public’s help in determining her identity.

<snip>

The victim was described as a black woman with very short black hair and brown eyes, about 5-foot-five and weighing between 200 and 225 pounds. She was wearing a dark gray hooded sweat shirt and a newer blue colored Knicks T-shirt underneath, police said.

The George Washington Bridge runs over the Hudson River very near to where the body was found. The currents run both ways on the river depending on the tide, so she could've jumped from the bridge and ended up north of it.

If she didn't go off the bridge, vehicle access to Ross Dock where the body was found is by a park road. It's an isolated area because it's at the bottom of the steep palisades. There are also walking trails down the hill to the park.

My hunch is that she is a jumper from the bridge, but we don't know that for a fact yet. I hope she is identified soon.
