WATCH: Sarah Stern verdict read (FULL VIDEO)
Wow. Unbelievable, just unbelievable. Never once watching these kids, and my kids grow up, could I ever have imagined this. For what? Thanks for sharing this. Does anyone know who the big man in the suit, who sat next to Mr.Stern in court was?

I’m guessing PT will also be sentenced the same week or there about as LM.

Thank all of you for your posts here and contributing to the sanity of the insanity. Seriously, it’s been very informative and thorough.

Sarah, May you Rest In Peace.

from one of the articles posted above:

Superior Court Judge Richard W. English scheduled sentencing hearings for both McAtasney and Taylor for May 24.

So yes, they are both being sentenced on same day.

Good Morning America today announced : Two-Hour Documentary on the Death of 19-Year-Old Sarah Stern Airs on ‘20/20,’ Friday, March

ABC NEWS PRESENTS TWO-HOUR DOCUMENTARY ON THE DEATH OF 19-YEAR-OLD SARAH STERN, JUST DAYS AFTER CHILDHOOD FRIEND IS FOUND GUILTY OF HER MURDER
20/20′ Airs Friday, March 1 (9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC

Just days after Liam McAtasney was found guilty of killing his childhood friend, 19-year-old Sarah Stern, a spirited young woman whose car was mysteriously found atop a bridge that connects Neptune City and Belmar, New Jersey, in December 2016, “20/20” presents a two-hour documentary on her tragic death. In the documentary, co-anchor Amy Robach along with Michael Stern, Sarah’s father, visits the bridge where Sarah’s abandoned car was found. The “20/20” documentary event airs Friday, March 1 (9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.
“20/20” features interviews with Carlos Diaz-Cobo, Liam’s defense attorney; TJ Pingitore and David Kayal, rideshare drivers who came across Sarah’s abandoned car the night of her disappearance and called police; Christopher Gramiccioni, Monmouth County Prosecutor; Chris Decker and Meghan Doyle, prosecutors on the case; Brian Weisbrot and Nicholas Cattelona, detectives on the case; and Belinda Souza, Sarah’s childhood friend. The documentary includes hidden camera video of Liam’s confession, 911 calls, police dashboard camera video, interrogation tapes and video of Preston Taylor, a close friend of Sarah’s, when he pleaded guilty to his role in Sarah’s disappearance.
After Sarah’s abandoned car was discovered, the community, including two of her closest friends Liam and Preston, searched wide and far for Sarah. Did she jump to her death? That was a burning question haunting police until a shocking development cracked open the case to reveal a sinister murder plot. Sarah’s classmate, Anthony Curry, an amateur horror filmmaker, recalled Liam’s pitching him a movie idea about two guys who rob and kill their friend by throwing her body over a bridge. The similarities between the pitch and Sarah’s disappearance days later raised red flags to Anthony, and he went to the police with the information. Law enforcement then secretly bugged Anthony’s car, recording Liam making a confession for the crimes.
Preston accepted a plea deal and pled guilty to six counts including first-degree robbery and second-degree disturbing or desecrating human remains, and faces 10-20 years in prison when he is sentenced later this year. Preston admitted to helping Liam dispose of Sarah’s body after he claims Liam offered him $3,000 from the $10,000 he stole from Sarah, an inheritance from her late mother. On Tuesday, Liam was found guilty of first-degree murder and other charges, facing a possibility of life in prison without parole. Authorities have still not recovered Sarah’s body, but the search continues.
The documentary on the tragic death of Sarah Stern is part of “20/20″‘s two-hour documentary programming featuring brand-new interviews with key players in some of the biggest newsmaker stories in recent American history. The original eight-week two-hour programming lineup has been extended to 15 weeks and will run through April 12. Since the two-hour documentaries premiered on Jan. 4, “20/20” has been Friday’s No. 1 newsmagazine each week in all key demos: Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
“20/20” is anchored by David Muir and Amy Robach. David Sloan is senior executive producer.

'It took me a half-hour to kill her': The 7 most shocking revelations from the Sarah Stern trial
From the article:

“While investigators were beginning to put the pieces together in the days after Stern was reported missing, Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Decker conceded in his closing argument that detectives needed a break in the case.

In walked Anthony Curry.

Curry confided in his father that he had information about McAtasney’s involvement in Stern’s disappearance. He was eventually linked up with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and showed them his communications with McAtasney on social media.

Curry and McAtasney were close friends. But Curry turned on McAtasney because he felt he was ‘doing the right thing.’”

I am so thankful that Mr. Curry chose to do the “right thing.”

He came forward on his own. He wasn’t looking for anything in return.

I wish there were more people who would do the same. There are so many cases in which if just one person would do what Mr. Curry did, there would be justice and some closure.

Ok, venting. Yesterday read the article in NJ.com regarding 20/20 show on Sarah Stern. I don't always read comments on articles, unfortunately I did yesterday. Why?! Apparently LM relative made a comment on Sarah Stern watching the show when she comes back! Picture Linda Blair's head spinning, without spitting pea soup. That was me.
I reread comment. Certainly after all the evidence, videos, tied up in a bow? How can you possibly delude yourself, embarrass yourself and family to think your relative is innocent. It is intellectually possible for me to look at a pychopath with less fury, that out and out, sorry this didn't happen, Sarah left.
I'm really wondering how our small town of Neptune City will heal.

Jersey strong! That's how Neptune City will recover. As far as the comment by a family member, remember where its coming from. Probably gives a little insight into the family dynamic! Peace to all!!

You could tell from the post-verdict PC that Sarah's dad is disgusted with the murderer's family. That they walked out before the jury was dismissed told me everything I need to know. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree came to mind.

Absolutely! LM mother on 20/20. .......never should have spoke. This is truly beyond denial . LM searches Anthony Curry for a wire? SMH not one tear fell down her face .Very insightful . This picture that they tried to paint of a bad relationship between Sarah and her dad was always bs. How do people who knew them tell a stranger this was garbage!

No doubt LM or PT would have made AC disappear, if they new car was fitted with recording devices. Who knows if that evening Liam wasn't carrying a knife?!
That kid AC had ever right to be frightened for his life.
On a personal note my kids couldn't watch 20/20 . My youngest who is/was Sarah's friend said when a crime story comes on TV she has to turn the channel. It brings her too much anxiety. Poor Stern Family.
