Answering my own curiosity here.
Day 3.

The Crime Scene Supervisor giving testimony (Mario calls him the "CSI guy", in a derisive tone, so rude.)

At 5:07:00
They mention Seabright NJ (Mario has been asking for a police officer from there to testify this week.... but it has been elusive!!!)

It's where Christopher was living with Laura when officers did another search on 3/9/22. They mention her name and the address, this is the DAY he was arrested. This is a new address, 1382 Ocean in Seabright.

Guess what they seized? In 2022? (NOT 2002!)

- Two flip phones
- An iPhone
- An iPad
- Dell laptop
- Sony Playstation

Can search by last name here:
Use GREG
As last name. Not full last name.

Note his ethnicity listed:
MASTER'S DEGREE
I guess "from Johns Hopkins University " didn't fit in the box.

Pray tell, what would you need to be doing with flip phones in 2022?
WOW good catch! Flip phones...I knew it!! Probably some where previously disposed of....back in April 2....

I had to check that on your attachment. This guy really doesn't know what ethnicity means.

@ShadyLady

What was on those two flip phones!?!!! What are the call records? Can you even do a Google / web search on those? I can't remember.

I guess they're called burner phones for a reason.... could digital forensics capture call histories on those ancient things? I would be so curious....

And people can also communicate on Playstations.

Check credit cards for purchase of burners and minutes...

Unattended Vs attended death came up in another case (I think it was daybells) and this is the description given of each:

“An attended death is one in which the decedent has been a patient under medical care for a serious or life-threatening illness that will likely lead to death in a relatively short period of time (days or months, but not years).

Many deaths in a hospital may also be considered an attended death.”

“For unattended death, any death that is the result of an injury or illness that is not due to terminal illness will likely be determined to be an unattended death.”

Ahhh! I did wonder. Here in the UK that's called an unexpected death, and it automatically involves an investigation taking place. JMO but it's an unnecessarily confusing word to use - "unattended" means "no-one in attendance", which is not the case with Corey (his degenerate bully of a father may not have been in attendance when his death was called, but medical staff were). It's a completely different thing to "unexpected" which is completely self explanatory and would make more sense.

At 4:45, Brian Entin:
"This little boy was failed by his parents"

Things that make you go hmmmmm.
That's not the take-home message for me here, maybe NN should have gotten some more background info.

This little boy was born into difficult circumstances and mom was trying to bring light to the abuses that started from Day 1 of visitation with bio dad, but was rebuffed and ignored by a system that devalued her voice.

Thank you for explaining this. It has really bothered me!
But wouldn't it be the hospital who would contact LE? Can any relative of any ‘unattended death’ summon the police? Or just retired Troopers who know the jargon?
That's a hard one for me to answer because, while I'm very familiar with the UK system, I have no idea about the process Stateside.

Here, the answer to your question would be a straight "No". The hospital would certainly call LE if a crime had obviously taken place (say, a stabbing for example), but in a case like Corey's where COD was initially unknown, then the hospital would call the Coroner.

UK Coroners are not the same as US ones. It's an unelected position, usually held by someone with a legal or LE background (though not exclusively). Interestingly, although their salary is paid by the local authority that they work within, and they are appointed directly by the Government Minister for Justice, the post is completely independent - they are not answerable to a "boss" or to voters in any way, shape or form, which gives them complete autonomy to undertake investigations without pressure or interference.

In a case like Corey's it would be the Coroner who ordered a Post Mortem (autopsy) and, because of the recorded concerns of BM, that would have been carried out by a specialist Home Office appointed Forensic Pathologist. We don't really have a ME equivalent, unless you count normal hospital pathologists - but they would never carry out a post mortem (PM) in a potentially criminal case.

All of which is a long winded way of saying that, even though I'm not familiar with the US system in NJ, I find it hard to believe that LE would be responding to a call from a family member about an unexplained death. If that were the case, then the PD would be spending half their time rushing to hospitals - unexpected deaths happen all the time!

Oh! and edited to add that (although it doesn't specifically pertain to Corey's case), if the Coroner here says that there has to be a PM then there has to be one - families can't say "no", even if there are no obvious signs that someone has been unlawfully killed (as in the case of Tammy Daybell for example).

Day 4.

1:29:00 Sergeant O'Hearn Of
Ocean County NJ Sheriff’s Department went to Alcoa TN to process Christopher's Honda on 4/6

Starts at 1:33:00

- car was in impound lot
- seized items:
Silver thumb drive
White thumb drive
Drone
LG TRACFONE in center console - Prepaid Cellphone

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.
Sometime between 6pm on April 2 and 11:31am on April 4th, when he was pulled over with Laura after airport pickup - Christopher had it in mind to pick up an LG Tracfone aka "burner phone"...

This officer says at that point they also had in possession Christopher's smart phone AND Laura's.

That's dedication, lady.
I fly out to meet a beau, get pulled over, turns out he's under suspicions, and the cops take my phone? Da faaaak!? I'd be so pissed!

I have so many questions! What was on those thumb drives? Why would anyone have thumb drives in their car?

Or a drone? Who just randomly has a drone in their car? ... Well CG, obviously, but why? Was it there when he left NJ? Did he buy it when he bought the burner phone?
