Sheer number of casualties:
With 600-700 people on the island, didn't somebody want to play hero and rush the gunman or distract him by throwing rocks at him?* Where were the adults?* (Probably locked into the basement of the main house, imo.)* This lack of an active defense might be easier to comprehend with multiple gunmen.* Probably at least five, imo.

Multiple weapons:
They have acknowledged a rifle, pistol, and shotgun found.* But to shoot a lot of people the gunman has to have a free hand to move and shoot rapidly.* He can't be encumbered with a backpack or long guns dangling from his shoulders.* He should have had an ammo vest plus a holster for his handgun.* So far none of the witnesses have described this gear on the perp.

Been watching news non stop for almost two days now. I'm gonna take a break to attend a memorial today. Memorials will be hosted in every city of Norway today.

But just some quick updates:
- there are still five youth missing. What they think is that these kids may have drowned while swimming away from the island.
- Anders Behring Breivik (ABB) is very eager to talk about everything, except whether or not he had an accomplice
- ABB spent 9 years planning and organizing for this
- the identification of the kids will take a long time, since most of them only are wearing underwear. In panic, they all took their clothes off to start swimming, but ABB managed to shoot them before they could reach the water and swim... So none of them have any form of identification with them.

Also, I must say that in general, we, the population of Norway has a deep respect for authorities, like the police. So these kids were lured in an awful way...

As for security on the island... It's a privately owned island in the "middle of nowhere". Our first female prime minister, Gro Harlem Brundtland, started spending her Labour Party Camp summers there in 1945, when she was six years old. Our current prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, has spent every summer there since 1974.

Gro Harlem Brundtland spoke to the kids there just hours before the shootings started. Here in Norway she is referred to as "Mother of our Country".... but ABB had in his writings done a clever "misspelling" and dubbed her "Murderer of our Country".

In Norwegian, the words are almost the same.. so it sounds and looks better.. but you get the idea.

ABB clearly is holding the Labour Party responsible for everything that he thinks is wrong with Norway.

I like what our king said yesterday: Our freedom is stronger than our fear.

Meaning: we will bounce back and nothing can stop us!!

I've read more of his 1500 pages manifest and the thoughts he has about himself are just sickening. But he's not mentally sick.

If None Exist Then We Are Shown Photos From An Online Account { MySpace FaceBook Etc.}. In This Case The Photos Look Almost Like Modeling Agency Type Photos. Or Professional Photos At Any Rate. Just - Not Family Photos - Not Mugshots.

I wrote about this further up. But it is confirmed that he bought very expensive camera and took professional looking pictures for his manifest, which also can be seen as a press package.

In his manifest he has written about which ways to best go about taking these kind of pictures under these circumstances. If going to a photographer, do it abroad, under false name, pay cash.

Still, he decided that the pictures he was going to take would be too suspicions, so he decided to do it himself.

He did have another Facebook account previously, but it's deactivated. The Facebook account these pictures where found on, was made only for the purpose of the massacre.

Also, in Norway we don't do mugshots.

In his manifest, ABB, mentions the professor Thomas Hylland Eriksen. I've had the pleasure to attend many of his lectures as my degree is in culture and communication.

The professor spoke on TV this morning. He said that what he had read in the manifest was something so dark, so twisted that he wished it would not get any publicity.

Too bad ABB managed to send it to so many people before doing this. I read somewhere he had sent it to 7000 people... but this is not confirmed.

He is really a terrible, terrible person. He has intimate revelations about friends and family... even saying his mother has the intellectual capacity of a 10 year old due to having genital herpes.

I know, it's disgusting. But, why he have to reveal such things about his own family? Page up and down on how much he cares about them, but he criticizes them beyond anything.. his own mother who he lived with until one month prior to the massacre.

ANFO bombs made of diesel fuel and ammonium nitrate(fertilizer) leave a strong smell of diesel fuel in the air after being detonated. *But that is not what the nosewitnesses smelled:

Asgeir Ueland, a journalist with Norwegian state broadcaster, said as soon as the explosion occurred it smelled like a burned tire...
(sulfur is used as a hardening agent in the manufacture of rubber products, such as tires)

The only explosive ingredient I know that uses sulfur in its manufacture is black powder, which is the main component in pipe bombs. *So most likely the devices were large pipe bombs, perhaps strapped to a canister of propane for extra fire.


In addition, the cops are now saying there was just one bomb placed in a car. *However, the forensic evidence seems to indicate blasts from inside the building:

Aftenposten reports that most of the injuries were caused by shards of glass that struck people in the street when the explosion occurred around 3:30 p.m. local time.

The blast in Oslo.... left a square covered in twisted metal, shattered glass and documents expelled from surrounding buildings.

Thus there seem to be few injuries from the actual concussive/blast wave at street level. *But rather from shards of windows and materials blown out from inside the building.

If there were body parts in the street also, this would not be unusual for a car bomb. *But if the only dismembered victims were found inside the buildings, this suggests there were close to the blast--on the inside.
