Indications of two or more gunmen:
Sheer number of casualties:
With 600-700 people on the island, didn't somebody want to play hero and rush the gunman or distract him by throwing rocks at him?* Where were the adults?* (Probably locked into the basement of the main house, imo.)* This lack of an active defense might be easier to comprehend with multiple gunmen.* Probably at least five, imo.
Multiple eyewitnesses said the gunman was talking into a headset:

"bt.no get last night announced that the perpetrator was talking in the headset during the massacre. This will be a number of eyewitnesses have observed."
Multiple weapons:
They have acknowledged a rifle, pistol, and shotgun found.* But to shoot a lot of people the gunman has to have a free hand to move and shoot rapidly.* He can't be encumbered with a backpack or long guns dangling from his shoulders.* He should have had an ammo vest plus a holster for his handgun.* So far none of the witnesses have described this gear on the perp.
Reports of fully automatic fire heard:

"He(Acting Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim) confirmed that the gunman used
automatic weapons in the island attack and that explosives were found there."

"I believe that there were two people who were shooting," VG quoted a 23-year old Alexander Stavdal. The witnesses described the second man as a 180-centimeter tall, dark-haired man with Nordic appearance with "a pistol in his right hand and a rifle on his back."
Reports of gunman being shot and wounded:
http://www.breakingnews.com/
(Though there are no reports of the suspect in police custody being brought to the hospital.)
Bombs:
At least one unexploded bomb was found on the island.* There were reports that some of the island survivors had burn wounds, which indicates at least one more bomb exploded there.* Which means the bomber would have needed time to plant the bombs, and no one saw him do that(at least so far).[/quote]
