The bigger question is why the life of a witness, a victim of a maniac shooter, requires protection?

Lots of assumptions being drawn..... Maybe he personally knows someone connected with the company, perhaps it is someone he trusts? That's why they were hired? Maybe the licence renewal information on the website wasn't updated? We don't know. Does it really matter?

-Agreed. I have the same question. And no it does not matter. I think there was some confusion regarding his working license and the license of the security company patrolling his home.

Feel really sorry for Jesus Campos.
First of all, he was shot at and almost killed by Paddock and now he's in the middle the blame game between law enforcement and hotel/casino establishment where everybody is covering their own backs with different timelines. And for the cherry on top, you have the "investigative reporters" camping on his lawn, conspiracy theorists making all kind of allegations and fake news sites naming him as the second shooter.

-Yes. And this is where I feel we experience the cost of desensitization. In essence being dumbed down. When one begins to throw it in the basket with everything else it can be easily muddled...subtle and over time it takes its own form.

-There is an order to everything. Its not perfect, but I think we should always aim for it with hopeful expectation.

“The union doesn’t have any idea where he’s at at this time,” said David Hickey, international president of the International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America, which represents security guards at Mandalay Bay.

Hickey said he had been with Campos for the last four days, along with another union member, helping him prepare for media interviews. He said Campos was staying in a Las Vegas-area hotel suite, with a living room and an adjoining bedroom.

Well that's interesting. The article clarifies that the security company hired to protect Campos home were hired by MGM. It sounds like he left with the MGM people and possibly with another union member. He does need to get away and recover from the attack, the poor guy has been hounded every waking moment.

I'm less trustful of MGM to attempt to control his accounting of events, though it sounds like there's plenty of video, audio and other evidence to document his actions that day. Poor guy really needs his own attorney, not one provided by his employer.

Hickey said he is not concerned for Campos’ safety, just his health. When asked if he thought MGM had anything to do with Campos’ disappearance, Hickey simply noted that the corporation was taking care of him.

-Strange is this, “in a Las Vegas area hotel suite WITH A LIVING ROOM AND AN ADJOINING BEDROOM”. I wonder though if he wants to make sure he doesn’t leave any room for the mass confusion like we have been given about SP “one room-that room-2 rooms-locked room...and on and on. Good for him if he is intentionally wanting to leave ‘no room’ for any doubt.

No, MGM was "helping" him. Union guys were sent out of the room and MGM took him away. They're the ones who made him vanish.

Ok, just going to throw this out there... because of the comparisons AND of the fact that the statement at the beginning of the show stated that the scenes were clipped due to the Vegas shooting.

Anyone watching this season of American Horror Story:Cult? Did you see the latest episode? People are asking WHY he could have done this, or where people get the ideas etc... Here is a perfect example.

Shooting at political gathering, however it was NOT as it seemed to police etc. (unedited version is online btw)
GF sets up herself as victim on purpose. Shoots BF (cult leader) in the leg as speaking ON PURPOSE, first to martyr him and make him win election so he can 'control the masses'
Shoots innocent people to cover that up, mass shooting for attention and worldwide exposure.
Then 'frames' woman who is trying to stop her by using her hands to commit suicide in the name of 'love' and police arrest the innocent.

Now, if this had been played IN FULL days before this shooting in Vegas, people would point to that immediately, I believe, because it has many similarities, enough to make you go 'hmmm'.

Do people get previews of these shows, absolutely. Actually, in Vegas they do test shows.. have done it myself.
Is it coincidence, probably.
But you also have many other movies/shows that portray these types of crimes. People get ideas from them.

After I watched it, I had to watch it again, unedited, and even though I've held of posting on here because of all the 'conspiracy theories' etc, I think its something to think about.

The union usually covers the cost. I have a couple of friends who are attorneys for labor unions - teachers and nurses. That's what union dues cover.

Employers nearly always work in their own best interests, not those of the employee.

Yes. He's in a different union. He's also healthy, uninjured and wasn't being stalked. He got out there in the news media fast. Campos is still healing from a gunshot wound, being hounded by the news media and a bunch of dangerous freaks.

We'll probably have to wait to see what the evidence shows - audio, video, etc.

ETA: MGM/Mandalay only cares about protecting their financial interests in upcoming liability lawsuits. They are not interested in a full investigation of the crime, finding justice for the victims and survivors/families or helping Campos. Their motivation is strictly financial.
