A Cheektowaga woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after being accused of leaving her 5-year-old son home alone all night.

Officers were called to 25-year-old Kylesha Montero’s home at the Garden Village Apartments around 9 a.m. Monday after her son called 911 to report he was hungry and missed his mom. Police gave the boy a bowl of cereal once they got to the home.

Montero is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, while her son is in the custody of his grandmother.

That really is like a punch in the gut to hear a 5 year old say he misses his mother. Sadly, it is very likely that the feeling was not mutual.

Poor kid
