I know in the past an ex boyfriend of mine from Long Island (Nassau County) He and his friends Came a couple of times and abandoned their cars in Brooklyn to pretend it was stolen and claim insurance..they always joked about dumping in Brooklyn ....and I just thought about it right now... why not do the same with a body?

I wonder if she was actually married. I know some women wear wedding rings to avoid men harassing them at bars/clubs. I've also heard that sometimes SWs will wear wedding rings because some hotels won't let an unmarried man and woman stay in case she's a SW. If she wore a ring they could pose as a married couple and be let into 'nicer' hotels. So we probably shouldn't just focus on married women.

Murder is the top cause of death for pregnant women, usually by the boyfriend/husband. Though, there's no cause of death listed for her that I can find. Doe Network says she was pregnant, but Namus doesn't mention this as far as I can see. No mention of how far along she was either.

Abbas was hospitalized for schizophrenia in New York City in the fall of 1988, then released to a halfway house in the borough of Brooklyn. She left the halfway house on January 6, 1989 and has never been heard from again. Her family believes she may be institutionalized or doesn't know how to get in touch with her loved ones.

Abbas was born in Indiana. As an adult, she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana with her husband and three young children. She converted to Islam during her marriage. She and her husband divorced in the mid-1980s and she moved to New York, leaving her children with him. Her case remains unsolved.

Not sure about the weight. She would have lost approx. 20 lbs.
